I'm not going to go line-by-line through census data right now. But, SIPP (Census Bureau) numbers do show a majority of households receiving SNAP and/or WIC benefits are headed up by illegal immigrant 'heads of households' applying for their children.

Of all immigrant-headed households (naturalized citizens and non-citizens) with young children, 43 percent are dependent on at least one of these programs.

It's a real issue, and ties back into the birthright citizenship question before SCOTUS. Not just who people think either. There are thousands of Chinese nationals who are paying surrogate American mothers to have their children for access to benefits.

That's one of the reasons why I (as a conservative libertarian, for lack of a better definition) have always been against the Libertarian Party position of open borders unless we do away with the welfare state first. I believe this is the quote you are referring to.

"I am in favor of free immigration, but not if you have a welfare state. The United States had free immigration throughout 19th century, and up until World War I, really. But that was possible because the United States was not a welfare state.

He also said "When you start paying people to be poor, you wind up with an awful lot of poor people."

I guess my point is has this forum come to the fact that one can post anything from anyone and it's assumed to be fact depending on which side of the fence one stands on?

When this forum starts posting data from someone who is just a wife/mom/MAGA/Trump supporter and that's it? Then I personally believe this forum has gone to "you know what". Same would be the case if it were opposite.

I have spoke to a few folks (both sides) over the last several months that used to post down here that have chosen not to just because it's nothing but personal attacks and bogus, nothing but opinion based data from very one sided sources.

I don’t disagree with you but if the source bothers you then do some research and enlighten us all. 
 

This is an opinion platform. Whatever is posted is a good starting point for an individual to do their own research if they are curious enough to know if it is true. Left or Right everyone should do their own verification.

No one has said take something for facts simply because they post it, that’s what you said.

I simply said don’t dismiss a post simply because you don’t know or like the source.

That’s sad.

Go to the trouble of looking into yourself and if you can prove it false, great.
