myrecordwashorrible Posted February 28 Author Report Posted February 28 LU opens conference with a 6-2 win. Well played ball game. New beer garden set up down left field line. That's an FYI for those that might enjoy. snakehead26 1 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 1 Author Report Posted March 1 LU stater, Olivier, went 7 innings of no hit ball with 11 K's. Pitch count up a bit (101) and Cards put in a reliever to start the 8th. Mighty impressive outing. Cards lead 1-0. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted March 1 Author Report Posted March 1 Birds win 1-0. Got out of a baseball loaded jam in the 8th with a double play. Tight game that lasted only a little over 2 hours. Fairly well attended game. Quote

myrecordwashorrible Posted Friday at 03:03 PM Author Report Posted Friday at 03:03 PM Let's play 2. LU series at SFA has shifted to a double header today and a single game Saturday. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted Saturday at 03:00 AM Author Report Posted Saturday at 03:00 AM LU drops game 1 against SFA, 6-4. Finally have an offensive explosion and put up 11 runs to win game 2 with an 11-3 final. Have a 4-1 conference record. Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 08:17 PM Today's finale of the SFA series has been pushed back to tomorrow. The SLC baseball portion of the conference website is terrible, no hyperbole. Each week the conference standings are wrong. Bad wrong. Today, it has SFA and Lamar's records reversed. HCU and McNeese are playing game 3 of their series right now, yet the website has each with 6 conference games already played. I could go on.... navydawg31 1 Quote

spidersal Posted Monday at 02:33 AM Report Posted Monday at 02:33 AM I feel your pain myrecordwashorrible. After a nice season last year several polls had the Cardinals as a team to keep their eyes on. After 16 games, I would say disappointment is an understatement. Unless the bullpen improves they will finish with about a 500 record and probably anywhere from 4th to 8th in the conference 10 to UTA, 14 to Texas in 6 innings, 25 to A&M in 6 innings, and 11 in one inning vs SFA is not going to cut it. I blame Davis on today’s loss because he kept the reliever that was struggling in too long. They better get it together soon or another season down the tubes Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago LU uses 6 pitchers tonight and combined they allow 1 hit to Louisiana Tech. Win it 6-0. Host McNeese this weekend. Schedule shows a 7 o'clock Filriday start time. That is an hour later than the usual Friday night start. Hoping for good crowds. Quote
