Best game in 5A next week! I picked PAM as my R3 winner but CS is rollin right now.

Will be rooting for PAM. But, they’re gonna’ need to find more weapons & stop with all the penalties.

CS may be a little too much for PAM as one dimensional as they are right now.

Half of those penalties were very questionable. PAM has been pretty disciplined this year. Now I do agree that they need a second wr. I also thought I never would say this, but I wouldn’t mind seeing screens to the sidelines. However, it says something for the oline that the ground game is so good. Katy has won many titles with just running and the occasional pass with a GREAT defense

Katy won many titles because their enrollment & program size were usually half again or double the size of their opponents in D2, and they had their pick of the talent pool. They haven't done much when competing against programs their own size.

Not saying PAM can't win. I hope they do. Just saying they need another consistent threat than Martin. I just don't know how far Martin can carry y'all basically alone. He is a great player, but...

Also, not sure how you can debate false starts/illegal procedure calls.

Was impressed with y'all's PK though. Young man had a good leg. If it comes down to that, he's a good weapon.

There were some drops but AMC didn't consistantly stop us running to the left.  Shout out to the Oline who have been consistant all year.......

If #3 can't go, I hope #21 gets some run.  I don't like my star DB going both ways.  He's needed more on defense....

If you seen the game then you would know that most of those penalties were questionable to say the least. Calls was one sided where you have an obvious pass interference call on one side that wasn't called and one on the other side that was a questionable call.🤔 we did what we came to do as a team. Don't know what game you seen. Way to go young men and keeping your composure and doing a awesome job.. We are the 409 and we're coming for our next opponent.

I still think Weiss is the most dangerous of the 12-5A teams left. CS got those late TO’s to come back on them when they played.

I texted my brother th following text during the game.  

“Their downfall is.. They stick to the run too much.  I know it’s their bread and butter, but you have got to mix more pass in.  They gonna run into teams that will shut down the run game and they have to be legit passing the ball.  With no in game practice..when you are force to throw it it’s gonna be trash.  They have a passing game…but it’s the playoff now…you’re not gonna be able to throw it like you have been.. More pressure better teams…you NEED to get better.. I know it’s one game at a time…But they are not a passing team so they need the practice…

I texted him the following text after the game.

”Good win.. Like I said.. Coaching is suspect when it comes to adjusting in game.. I hate to see this team go down because of bad play calling.  The team is there.  If they don’t win state is because of coaching.. They’ve been  legit all season..even pretty damn good in some games.. But it’s different here.. It’s the playoffs.. It comes down to the few elite teams.. With that said.. I hope they prove me wrong.. I hope they can adjust better next game, the next, etc..”

I share that to say this.  The coaching has been legit this year.  It has definitely impressed me.  It has been superior to previous years under this regime.  It’s been a very long time since I haven’t watch a Memorial game. Whether in person or streaming.  Coaching this year..has been legit.  The players themselves are pretty darn good, if you ask me. My one critical concern is the in game adjustments.  When the d keys in on the run they don’t open up the playbook.  I get it, it’s their game, but you CANNOT be so one dimensional. Perfect example..you get down against a potent offense. The d stopping the run.. You are not just magically gonna have your pass plays in game on q.. Need to build up to that..and they are not.  Just my personal opinion.  I like PA’s chances though.  I wanna get proved wrong and see this team win state.  They are legit.  Those boyz deserve it.  They can’t do it alone though.

I said half and tbh, I don’t recall any illegal procedures and I’m not sure on the false starts this past game. A horrible PI that kept a drive . Ball was overthrown by 20yats with both players playing the ball. A phantom flag that called back Amante td. A face mask called on a clean sack of the qb that 99 laid out, which also helped them. Had a face mask that wasn’t called right in front of us plain as day and no call. With the threat of our outside wr., you got Washington out the backfield. You can’t say Amante going at it alone when Eugene been running over people. Also we do have some plays for our TE that can catch for big yardage. They showed that in the last home games and just saving that when they need it. The defense is where it’s at. If they can’t score and whoever it is that score for us it’s ball game. Again another sure handed wr would be best. That’s why I say our 2011 team was better in that we had weapons every where

I wanted to say what u said and agree. I’m very critical of Morgan and this year, he and the staff has called the games very good. Let’s be honest if the wr’s can be more consistent in catching like #9 needs to come to practice early and stay late catching. I agree on opening the play book more. Jones is probably the fastest wr we got but don’t have passes thrown to him. Screens would be perfect for him. But god, #2 and #9 killing is with drops.
