No bond for Boykin

Well know family name, and he is in some serious, spend a long time in jail trouble.  

 

They include: Aggravated Kidnapping, a 1st Degree Felony; Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon/Family Violence, a 1st Degree Felony; and Aggravated Assault Impeding Breath/Circulation/Family Violence, a 2nd Degree Felony. The cases are in the county, just outside of the Lumberton city limits.

He's also facing a Jefferson County charge of Tampering With a Government Record, accused of turning in a bill of sale for a boat, alleging he bought it for $10, when a game warden says Boykin paid at least $40,000 for it.

Hardin county is going to end up with egg on their face on this one. the "new charges" they're pursuing are from a report filed over a year ago from a woman who claims he did basically the exact same thing to her as he did to this woman. The woman from a year ago also made a series of tik toks about it. I'd be seriously looking into legal representation if I were her. It's pretty amazing how nothing was done for a year, but when people start talking crap about Hardin Co on facebook they suddenly decide to charge him?

I have no idea how those accusations from last year didn't amount to anything. It blew up on tik tok. I hate to think it was the name, but it's hard not to think that. Looks like they are throwing the book at him this time. 

I will say Mr. Boykin, his Grandfather, was a good man.  I had the pleasure of several good conversations with him.  When he was older, retirement age, and very, very wealthy, he would still work on his tractor clearing land.  A true country boy.

Are you talking about ignoring the case by Hardin County for a good ol’ boy until it becomes more public?

I have not heard anything. My guess (@tvc184) would know better, but I bet money and the best lawyers are going to delay this thing as long as possible..

It doesn’t matter… if he’d been born a Trump instead of a Boykin, everybody would be busy blaming the victims, like they always do.  
 

My suspicion is that this young man has good counsel, and the first thing that they do is stall. It’s going to be interesting to see if a jury will eventually do anything or if he takes a plea deal. My understanding is that the DA and Judge that handles criminal cases in Hardin County are both set to retire at the end of ‘28… if that’s true, I doubt that there will be a big rush from the state or the bench to push this one to trial on their way out. 
 

edit… I just checked the inmate roster in Jeffco and he’s no longer a guest in their jail-I thought he was being held without bond down there, but I guess not.
