I doubt there is anything that can be done - but for him to say he knew it was political but didn't understand the meaning or possible meaning is ridiculous....OR proves he was a horrible FBI director....

Yeah, he didn’t know what those numbers meant. He was just casually walking down the beach and saw these shells arranged in this pattern, thought they were so beautifully arranged, snapped a pic, and posted it on the internet. He’s well known for posting nature scenes. Give me a break. Does anyone really believe him? If he didn’t know they were bad, why did he take them down? Comey is a criminal and should already be in jail for lying to congress.

From the article:  "A formal letter has just been sent to Secret Service Director Sean Curran and FBI Director Kash Patel, calling for an immediate joint investigation into James Comey after he posted a disturbing message on social media using the phrase “86” in reference to President Trump. That term is widely understood to mean kill or eliminate.

The letter demands a full probe into potential violations of federal law, including 18 U.S.C. § 871 (threats against the President) and 18 U.S.C. § 875 (interstate threats). It also presses for answers on whether Comey still holds a security clearance or has access to classified material.

The same Left that spent years crying about “stochastic terrorism” is silent now. But silence isn’t justice. If Comey broke the law, he doesn’t get to hide behind his badge or his politics—he belongs in handcuffs."

I think that it’s all nonsense but in this supercharged political climate, I wouldn’t doubt anything.

It’s laughable that the same people who pardoned the J6 rioters for violent actions at the Capitol are now calling this a threat. 
 

It would be a funny if they weren’t serious. 
 

I dont see how Americans don’t end up at war between the right and left. There just aren’t that many more ways to escalate the attacks without lives being lost.

Did the 1/6 protesters get due process? Of course not, but criminal illegal invaders should. Everything depends on which battle you want to pick.

If I'm being honest, I think it's trivial at best. To me, the term to "86" something or someone means simply to get rid of or replace it - not necessarily through death or violence. I can't stand Comey, but this is a ridiculous non-event that shouldn't be wasting valuable time or resources.

Agree, the main takeaway here is more proof that Comey is a partisan hack that was unfit for the job.

I can see the absurdity of it all, especially the part about Comey being a nature photographer, which there is no shame in that, except that these shells weren’t really photogenic, in my humble opinion, so why post them to the internet and delete?

Yep, that’s why I said it was all nonsense.

Of course he could get the Martha Stewart prosecution. Stewart was accused of insider trading and they couldn’t prove it but she stupidly did not remain silent and lied to the FBI. So she is now a convicted felon for obstruction of justice or whatever they call it.
