If one has reached full retirement age, they can earn as much working money as they want, but SS will be figured into their gross wages.

Maybe Black Friday sales hit record highs because the cost of almost everything is at a record high. Smoke and mirrors?

Gas prices are down because OPEC is holding oil prices down to discourage oil production here. That in a round about way is indeed a credit to Trump.

Winter gasoline blends also have a higher RVP. They need less additives. So, they’re cheaper to produce. Typically, that savings is passed on to the consumer.

Diesel prices are the better price to track for economic factors, and costs. They are what affect commerce.

Black Friday had almost $11 Billion dollars in online sales.  That was better than anytime in history!  The economy is already strong.  But with the passage of the Big, Beautiful Bill it’s gonna get better in the spring or early summer of 2026.  You know deregulation, tax reduction, massive foreign investment and expelling 2 million people from the US per year who were probably on social assistance, involved many cases of crime.  The economy is going to boom in 2026!

I've seen $2.16 at Vidor Wal-Mart and $2.14 at PA Wal-Mart. 

Mortgage rates are dropping and some things are going down.  Beef/Poultry still high, but perhaps we got spoiled to eat steak daily. ....  I was raised in a middle class family, didn't want for anything....steaks were a treat....., eating out at a restaurant was a treat, even fast food was a treat....smothered round steak and gravy over rice was a 2-3 times a week meal.  So, I'm not sure this economy is all that bad based on history.

Had chopped steak with baked sweet potatoes last night. Went fancy with a slice of sharp cheddar on the steak, and last of the leftover jellied cranberry sauce. All followed by an excellent cup of black Folgers with 4 Walmart butter cookies.

Who remember tuna & gravy on toast? Yep. Meal of champions. 😂😱🤣

Of course, Sunday dinner was always cornbread & milk (cornbread actually in the milk), and mustard/turnip/mixed greens, and pinto beans. No ham. Just beans.
