Week 11 is here and the last chance for some teams to clinch a playoff berth. Several teams have clinched playoff berths and even seeding. But some are still battling for a playoff spot and some for higher seed. Here's a look at our coverage area districts:

(NOTE: please let me know of district tie breaking policies if I have them wrong)

21-6A is completely set with seeds as well.

North Shore is district champs and #1 seed in Div. I

Atascocita will be #2 in Div. I

Summer Creek will be #1 in Div. II

CE King will be #2 in Div. II

8-5A DI

Barbers Hill, La Porte, PA Memorial and Porter have all clinched playoff spots. BH (6-1), LP (7-1) and PAM (6-1) all have 1 loss in district. Using the district positive point tie breaking system (max point is 14), BH sits at +7, LP at -4 and PAM at -3. BH plays Porter while PAM will play Kingwood Park. LP is off this week. Porter can get #3 seed with a win over BH and a win by PAM. If both BH and PAM win, then the seeding should go as follows:

(note: this district does use point system throughout tie breaker)

1. BH

2. PAM

3. LP

4. Porter

A win by BH, loss by PAM:

1. LP

2. BH

3. PAM

4. Porter

A loss by BH, win by PAM

1. PAM

2. LP

3. Porter

4. BH

Also, if Porter beats BH and PAM loses, this will cause another 3 way tie. It will go to positive points between those three teams. Right now BH is +14,  PAM is 0 and Porter is -14. Porter will need to beat Barbers Hill by 14 or more points and have PA Memorial lose to create tie.

9-5A DII

PN-G, Texas City, FB Marshall and Nederland have all clinched playoff spots. PN-G has clinched #1 seed. Texas City can clinch #2 seed with a win over Nederland. A Nederland win coupled with a FB Marshall loss will give Nederland the #2 seed. Using positive point system, Marshall is a -6 while TC is a +8 and Nederland a -2. (TC and Ned will play this week so their totals will change with a Ned win)

(note: this district uses point system throughout)

A TC win, this will be the seeding:

1. PN-G

2. TC

3. FB Marshall

4. Nederland

A Nederland win by 3 points or less:

1. PN-G

2. TC

3. Nederland

4. FB Marshall

A Nederland win by 4 to 14 points:

1. PN-G

2. Nederland

3. Texas City

4. FB Marshall

A Nederland win by 15 points or more:

1. PN-G

2. Nederland

3. FB Marshall

4. Texas City

Lumberton, LC-M, Vidor and Livingston have all clinched. Lumberton has clinched #1 seed and LC-M has clinched #2 seed based on their wins over Vidor and Livingston. Vidor can clinch #3 seed with a win or a Livingston loss. Livingston can clinch #3 seed with a win and a Vidor loss. Vidor is at Splendora, Livingston plays at Lumberton.

A Vidor win or Livingston loss:

1. Lumberton

2. LC-M

3. Vidor

4. Livingston

A Vidor loss and a Livingston win

1. Lumberton

2. LC-M

3. Livingston

4. Vidor

9-4A DII

Silsbee, Jasper, Hamshire-Fannett and West Orange-Stark have all clinched playoff spots. Silsbee (5-0) can clinch outright district title with a win over Jasper. Tigers can clinch #1 seed with a win or a loss of 10 points or less. A loss of 11 or more will put them at #2 seed. Silsbee can finish no lower than #2 seed. Jasper (4-1) gets #1 seed with a win of 11 or more. A win of 10 or less will give them #2 seed. Any loss will put Jasper at #3 seed. Because of the point system, Hamshire-Fannett (5-1) cannot be #1 seed. Currently HF is a -15, Silsbee is a +18, Jasper is a -3. HF will need a Jasper loss to be #2 seed. Otherwise, they will be #3 seed. WO-S (2-3) can finish no higher than #4 seed.

A Silsbee win:

1. Silsbee

2. Hamshire-Fannett

3. Jasper

4. WO-S

A Silsbee loss of 10 points or less

1. Silsbee

2. Jasper

3. HF

4. WO-S

A Jasper win of 11 points or more:

1. Jasper

2. Silsbee

3. HF

4. WO-S

Diboll, Woodville, Palestine Westwood and Shepherd have all clinched playoff spots. Diboll (5-0) has clinched #1 seed based off their wins over Woodville and Westwood. Woodville (4-1) and Westwood (4-1) play Thursday night and winner will be #2 seed, loser #3 seed. Shepherd (2-3) can finish no higher than #4 seed.

Projected finish:

1. Diboll

2. Westwood/Woodville

3. Westwood/Woodville

4. Shepherd

10-3A DI

Kirbyville, East Chambers and Orangefield have clinched playoff spots. Kirbyville (5-1) has clinched #1 seed based on their wins over EC and OF. East Chambers (4-1) and Orangefield (4-1) will play Thursday night for #2 seed. Loser is #3 seed. Buna (2-3) can clinch #4 seed with a win over Hardin or a loss by Anahuac. Anahuac (2-3) needs a win over Tarkington and a Buna loss to get #4 seed. Buna breaks any tie with Anahuac and Tarkington because of their wins over both teams.

Projected finish:

1. Kirbyville

2. EC/OF

3. EC/OF

4. Buna (with a win or Anahuac loss)

4. Anahuac (with a win and a Buna loss)

12-3A DII

Newton, Anderson-Shiro, New Waverly and Hemphill all have clinched playoff spots. Newton (5-0) clinches outright district championship and #1 seed with a win over New Waverly Friday night. New Waverly (4-1) needs a win and an Anderson-Shiro (4-1) loss to get #1 seed. A NW win and an A-S win will force a three way tie for 1st with Newton. Point tie breaker is currently Newton +21, A-S 0, NW -21. (max points is 21 for this district) So NW has to win by 21 or more to force a tie. Anything less and Newton is #1 seed and A-S is #2 seed. Anderson-Shiro plays Trinity Friday night. Hemphill can finish no higher than #4 seed.

Projected finish with a Newton win or loss of 20 or less:

1. Newton

2. Anderson-Shiro

3. New Waverly

4. Hemphill

A NW win and an Anderson-Shiro loss:

1. New Waverly

2. Newton

3. Anderson-Shiro

4. Hemphill

A 21 point win or more by New Waverly over Newton will force a three way tie with Anderson-Shiro with all three teams finishing at 0 points. I have no clue how they will break that tie. Coin flip will be my guess.

Garrison, Timpson and Shelbyville have all clinched playoff spots. Garrison (5-0) and Timpson (5-0) will play for the district championship Friday night. Loser will be #2 seed. Shelbyville (3-2) is the #3 seed, can finish no higher or lower than that seed regardless of the outcome of their game or any other game results. Joaquin (2-4) is off this week. They will need a loss by San Augustine (1-4) this week to clinch #4 seed. A win by SA coupled by a West Sabine (1-4) loss will give SA the #4 seed based off their win over Joaquin. West Sabine needs a win over Shelbyville and a San Augustine win over Grapeland (1-4) to force a three way tie with Joaquin and SA. Current point totals for those three teams are Joaguin at +2, SA -17 and WS +15. (this district has an 18 point max) Grapeland has been eliminated because of tie breaking system.

Projected finish:

1. Garrison/Timpson

2. Garrison/Timpson

3. Shelbyville

4. Joaquin (with a loss by SA)

4. San Augustine (with a win and a loss by WS)

4. West Sabine ( with a win and a SA win over Grapeland)

12-2A DI

Centerville and Groveton have clinched playoff spots. Centerville (4-0) can clinch outright district title with a win over Corrigan-Camden or a loss by Groveton. They have clinched the #1 seed already based on their prior win over Groveton. Groveton (3-1) has clinched #2 seed with their wins over C-C and Leon. Corrigan (2-2) needs a win over Centerville and a loss by Leon to get the #3 seed. Leon (2-2) needs a win over Normangee or a Corrigan loss to get #3 seed. Normangee (1-3) has only one shot at getting a playoff spot. They need a win of 18 points or more against Leon and a Corrigan loss to force a three way tie for #3 and #4 seed.

Projected finish:

1. Centerville

2. Groveton

3. Jewett Leon (with a win or Corrigan loss)

3. Corrigan (with a win and a Leon loss)

4. Corrigan/Leon/Normangee (see above)

2. Deweyville/Lovelady

3. Evadale/Hull-Daisetta

4. Evadale/Hull-Daisetta

Lot's still up in the air in this district. Only two teams go to the playoffs in 1A. Currently Leverett's Chapel sits a top at 2-0 with wins over Chester (1-1) and High Island (0-2). Chester is currently 2nd with their win over Burkeville (1-1). LC clinches top spot with a win over Burkeville Thursday night. Chester clinches 2nd spot with a win over High Island. Burkeville can get #1 seed with a win over LC and a loss by Chester. A win by Burkeville and a win by Chester will force a three way tie for the two playoff spots. My apologies but I do not know the tie breaker policy for this district other than head to head.

Projected finish:

1. Leverett's Chapel (with a win over Burkeville)

2. Chester (with a win over High Island)

Burkeville needs a win and a Chester loss.

For 5ADiv1 he’s to head is not used for 3 way tie. If BH and PAM win it will be

BH

LP

PAM

Porter

if BH loses the Porter will get the head to head.then it would be.

PAM

LP

Porter

BH

How can head to head be the first tie breaker in a 3 way tie? Or, are you saying after the point system is used to break three way tie, it still is used to declare the #2 and #3 seeds?

The later. This was confirmed by Matt Steep which he said he got from 2 of the district coaches

Yes. There was confusion on the cap amount (18 or 14) and if the point system was used throughout the tie breaker or only used to break three way tie and then head to head.

Point max is 14 and point system is used throughout.

I don’t think part of scenario is correct. If BH wins & PAM loses, there’s no 3-way tie. It would revert to head to head between BH & LP with LP holding the tiebreak due to its win over BH.
