I said it in another thread.

If you are looking to be offended, you will be offended.

Even if it has to come from someone telling you that you are to be offended.

I have heard that the Commander of the 5th Fleet is offended by the current name.

If it is a term offends indigenous people, then it’s racist. You have to believe African Americans have no right to be offended by use of the pejorative “N” word if you think that way. You have no clue.

Typical liberal mind showing the gears attempting to turn. You draw conclusions where they are not warranted. The Indians are NOT offended by the term redskin. It’s the snowflakes pushing a narrative…..and yet you call me clueless. Sure am glad you keep up with current posts. The one you quoted is almost 2 years old. Try and keep up.

I wonder how many people through the years who never gave the name Redskins a thought are now outraged because someone told them to be?  And BTW -- what's wrong with calling Indians Indians?

Since it’s how they refer to each other and their own organizations……

It is laughable how they try to tell someone not to be offended. Ridiculous. They don't think it is offensive because they are not Indians. Duh.

Why not Whities

I was trying to be politically correct. Doesn’t bother me but you wouldn’t like the equivalent. Again, this is about the  Washington Redskins.

They should rename the team the Cleveland Whities

Yet another post where you demonstrate a lack of being able to follow along.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you meant to quote someone else.

I don't get offended by Redneck or Coonazz - I could fit both of those categories.

The Cleveland Indians changed their name to the Guardians due to decades of criticism surrounding the "Indians" name and the "Chief Wahoo" logo for being culturally insensitive and offensive to Native Americans. The decision to change the name was also influenced by the national conversation around racial justice and the removal of offensive mascots and team names following the death of George Floyd.
