Been telling folks all week. Hats off to Brenham. The kids, fans, coaches were all class acts. Even before the last plays they were approaching our players and patting them on the helmets and congratulating them. Last week at the same juncture an Austin LBJ player was on the ground and an Indian player tried to help him up and he punched the Indian player in the head. Ty Brenham for the great game, congrats on the great season, and Ty for being one of the most classy organizations in high school football. That goes to players and fans alike. best of luck next season.

It was good to see #33 was back and really ran the ball great tonight. #43 stepped up (again) in the inside LB position and did great. Two or 3 new guys on the STs did great jobs as well. Don't know if starting LB #6 will be back or not, and same for #31 on STs and defense. #26 on STs and back up inside LB may not return, he is scheduled to get a cast on his wrist next week. Hopefully more guys will be healthy on defense, and the offense will continue to improve, for next week against FBM.

All in all a great game and a good win for the Indians tonight. Congrats to the kids and coaches. And congrats to Brenham for a good season and good game, they were a breath of fresh air, compared to LBJ last week.

I enjoyed talking to the Brenham fans before the game. A really pleasant group. Wish we were in the same district.

NRG would be great again!!

It's already supposedly taken by other Coach Joseph against CE King  Friday.  Plus FBM doesn't bring a big enough crowd.   They don't want to play PNG at a bigger place to limit the crowd.   I wouldn't mind for a smaller stadium something like Stallworth or Pasadena.  Bigger stadium U of H, Rice, TSU

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
