I live across the street from a rice field. Just one of several down the road. They have huge machines do all the work. Quite a sight to see actually. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a spotter for the crop duster either.

Saw a bobcat today coming home, for those interested.

I was a spotter for the crop dusters when I was in my teens. I don't know which was worse, looking out for the water moccasins or getting pelted by those fertilizer missiles. As far as I know I think the crop dusters are GPS guided now...no spotters required.
