UT Baseball Next Head Coach

Well, let's see what happens.

I think Pierce will hold out for the Rice job. Less pressure to win and he recruits Houston area very well.

On the radar?

Pat Casey, Oregon State: The Austin American-Statesman reported this week that Casey has been identified by the Longhorns as their top target. Casey has spent 22 seasons with the Beavers, leading them to back-to-back national titles in 2006 and 2007.

John Savage, UCLA: Another coach who’s lifted a championship trophy in Omaha, Savage led the Bruins to a College World Series title in 2013 and finished in second place in 2010. But his team has posted losing records in two of the last three years.

David Pierce, Tulane: Pierce hasn’t yet made it to a Super Regional as a head coach, but the Houston native and former Rice assistant is well-regarded in college baseball coaching circles.

Texas has approached Paul Mainieri about its vacant coaching job. Ucla Savage still a candidate.

Good luck with that

So why even interview? I think he's just looking to bump that $750K salary. Maybe LSU cannot pay due to state funding issues. Really doubt he leaves that roster for UT.

So are saying they didn't contact him?

i can promise my source isn't your only source

bleacher report

smh

I only post BR for Mack

I can read and search the Internet!

Have you ever posted a link to verify what you say?

If you have, I must apologize for missing it.

Now, back to the topic, pay him more $ tigers, he is too old to be the next baseball coaching legend at Texas.

Texas baseball just got rid of an old coach. Time for change,

Younger and aggresvive,

........then you and your $ec buddies will have another Big XII team kicking you butts on the road to Omaha.

If LSU's Paul Mainieri takes Texas job, 1 reason might be La. Legislature altering TOPS scholarship program that gets LSU more players.

if that why he would leave,

Just more reason not to want him.

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
