Keep hearing that Jasper's number will put them in 4A DII.

Anyone know their actual number?

I was thinking that would be the case and if so I imagine they may move them into 9-4A D2 and move Liberty out. With La Marque closing down and if what I have heard about Coldspring dropping is true I could see this happening

9-4A D2

Jasper

WO-S

Orangefield

Hamshire-Fannett

Hardin-Jefferson

10-4A D2

Liberty

Tarkington

Shepherd

Houston Scarborough

Houston Worthing

Houston Kashmere

If Ozen drops, that non-football district could be:

LCM, Ozen, Silsbee, Bridge City, Hardin Jefferson, West Orange-Stark, Hamshire-Fannett, and Orangefield.

I think if they turn in low numbers, BISD may opt to keep them playing 5a though...

I just read that in a different thread. Why would they want to keep them in 5a? That's a pretty solid district if they drop in most sports for boys and girls.

First shot at 2A D1:

West Hardin

Deweyville

West Sabine

San Augustine

Shelbyville

Cushing

I don't think 2A does much moving around locally with the exception of HD and Normangee swapping divisions and Deweyville dropping down. 2A-DI could always rearrange but I think DII is pretty locked in. This is how I see it:

2A DI:

Anderson-Shiro

Centerville

Deweyville

Groveton

Lovelady

Normangee

West Hardin

2A DII:

Burkeville

Colmesneil

Evadale

Hull-Daisetta

Iola

Sabine Pass

There's the possibility that Centerville, AS and Normangee move out and then West Sabine and Hemphill (heard they may drop to 2A DI) move in....

Deweyville might make the playoffs

Maybe this has been answered. But why do you only have a 500 student difference from the lowest school in 4a to the biggest, and have div. 1 and a div.2? But in 5a you will have a 1,000 student difference and not split up like 4a? A 5a school who has a enrollment of 1400-1500 coyld possibly compete against a school with 2100?

If Ozen drops (as they would be smart to do) and Lee moves to 21-5a I see 22-5a looking like this:

PA Memorial

Nederland

PNG

Central

Lumberton

Vidor

Dayton

BH

Nice looking District. If Ozen petitions to stay and Lee moves, BH or Dayton? Or do they just leave Lee with us to give us 8.

I can see Livingston replacing Splendora as a straight move. But, any guesses on who would replace Jasper in 10-4a DI if they slip down to DII?

Please let it be somebody less than 2 hours away!

Does Ozen really have the number to drop?? What was their number? I have not seen it

It also has been confirmed from BISD that Ozen will opt up to stay 5A.

Anderson-Shiro and Groveton are now 3A from numbers that I have seen.........Try this one:

West Hardin

Deweyville

Lovelady

Centerville

West Sabine

Normangee

Memorial drops to 5A

Splendora moves up to 5A

Livingston drops to 4A D1

Deweyville drops to 2A D1

Hull-Daisetta drops to 2A D2 by 2 students

Chester and High Island both exactly on the bottom number of 59 for 1A D1

Wow!

OK so they tell the UIL they want to stay in 5A. Is there even a 1% chance the UIL denies the request? Just curious.
