eagleswoodville#1
TOO much change!I didn't even realize they have had 4 different coaches in the last 6 years. Woodville's last four have spanned out over the last 13. Lock (2004-2006), Fentress (2007-2012), Slaton (2013), and Waldie (2014-present) Edited July 17, 2015 by eagleswoodville#
IT'S IN THE BONE
DC this year will be Joe Calhoun who coaches the DBs at Kountze.Thats great...Coach Calhoun is a stand up guy and cares about young men...That is good news. I don't mean to sound pissy, but it is just frustrating to watch theses kids go thru the fire drill grinder every year.

Woodville's last four have spanned out over the last 15....Well heck man in 5 years you have had 4 Head Baseball Coaches, Football 4 Head Coaches in 6 years...but now lets talk Basketball, 10 plus years with the same guy at the helm. Which sport has had the most successful longevity? wow... that does not take a rocket scientist to figure out where I am headed with this...maybe Joub can be the man and fix it all. Javelina
Kountze has a great bunch of kids with talent. I wish them the best this season and hope they find some coaches for them
Javelina
If Hayes left I think the next best canadate would be Travis Tates if he is still there. He has been the OL/DL coach last 2 years and called JV plays. He knows the kids and the system fishcat

AHUDDLESTON
I was told that he resigned and that he had already been hired. The VAST majority of school districts will let you out of your contract anytime. They do not want someone who has asked to leave. I have seen this in 1A through 6A in my 23 years of teaching/coaching. I do not know the particulars in this situation, but I am from Kountze and still hear talk from friends still there. AHUDDLESTON
By the way, Grayland's dad was a pretty good football player too. We played together way back.
