Newton 32 Rogers 7/Final/Newton advances to semis!

The Newton Eagles look to take one step closer to the Texas State 3A, Division II championship in this Region III final against the Rogers Eagles.  Newton, 10-3 on the season, reached the final by defeating New Waverly in bi-district play, 46-6, followed by a 56-13 victory over Dublin in area play and a 49-21 win over Franklin last week.  Rogers, 11-2 on the season, qualified for this round by defeating Blooming Grove 35-13 in bi-district play, followed by a 40-14 win over Corrigan-Camden in area play and a 51-28 over Crockett last week.

 

The winner of this game will face either Blanco or Odem, who will face off for the Region IV title.
