Shepherd defense is pretty good. I just don't know if their offense will do much against good teams.
Another tough week for Tarkington next week.Hope they will be able to rebound and make the playoffs. Looks like reality may be setting back in.
Assuming they loose to CS next week. They need to beat Diboll and Madisonville. 2-3 district record may not get them in. 3-2 will

Shepherd's defense is good. Watch #40. He's a super player but he likes to grab & pull off O line's helmets. He didn't need to do that because he was the superior athlete anyway. Shepherd is pretty fast, but I imagine CS beat them there. Shepherd beat Tarkington on the line, offensive & defensive. Tarkington didn't connect on some pass plays and got caught napping on a fake field goal & a couple of passes. The second half Shepherd controlled the ball, but Tarkington's defense held them several times--just not enough offense to win. Or, more likely that was due to Shepherd's strong defense. Good luck to both teams as they finish the year.

Well what has changed? The record is better but when up against a good or even avg teams they don't win.

Not sure what you meant by "likes to grab & pull off O line's helmets." Maybe # 70 needed to tighten his chin strap? Its a battle up front and he never once grabbed and pull off anyone's helmet.
