pinelandflash Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Both schools enter this District 10-2A tilt hungry for a district win. No one wants to be 0-2 in this district. Who gets it? Quote
tigerheart Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 West Sabine needs a win here. Otherwise you probably go into the last game needing a win over Shelbyville and possibly some help to make the playoffs. West Sabine presents some matchup problems for Joaquin, but a run defense that gave up 300 yards rushing to SA is fixing to get tested again in a big big way Quote
HDBobcats9 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 I haven't seen Joe play this year, but I think WS has enough firepower to win this one. SA/SV/WS will represent D-10 in the playoffs. Joaquin and Beckville are solid teams but they'll get left out of the playoffs in my opinion. WS - 48 Joaquin - 24 Quote

I don't think Joaquin would pass the ball to save their grandmother's life! Have to be fundamentally sound and finish the tackle...... Quote
pinelandflash Posted October 17, 2014 Author Report Posted October 17, 2014 West Sabine will suit up two young ladies from their JV squad on their varsity team tomorrow night due to there being no JV game tonight. Has this ever been done before in Texas HS football history, where two girls have suited up for the same team? Quote

HDBobcats9 Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 That's pretty cool. I saw where AAW posted a link to the story in the Bmt Enterprise about the girls playing tonight. I don't know if two girls have played before for the same team. The last girl I can remember actually playing on varsity was from Evadale. I think she was the kicker and played some cornerback too. I'm sure someone can remember that and correct me if I'm wrong. Quote

One is a WR/DB and the other is a DL/OL. Quote
Uncle Si Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 Good Luck West Sabine Thanks, and good luck to the Bobcats! Quote
