EnlightenedChosenOne Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 Politicians goals - 1) get elected 2) stay elected 3) get his friends elected to powerful positions 4) make money . . . . . 985) help the American people new tobie and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2
PN-G bamatex Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I'm not going to get up here and defend the entire profession, but I do think there are people in office whose sole goal in life isn't to simply get reelected. I think they're outnumbered, but they do exist. new tobie and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2
tvc184 Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 Who exactly is "you guys"? ... and who puts faith in politicians?
tvc184 Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 If a guy that has never been a politician runs for office and gets elected, is he not now a politician?
5GallonBucket Posted August 26, 2014 Report Posted August 26, 2014 This nation exist the way it does because of the system that was put in place. We elect individuals to public office to lead our nation. BUT what has happened is that a lot of our nation's citizens have not done their homework on who they elect. There will always be bad apples.....

EnlightenedChosenOne Posted August 27, 2014 Author Report Posted August 27, 2014 Republicans are so convinced they're the high information voter and democrats are low information voters. Can't help but laugh at that one
