Airstrikes hit ISIS in Iraq as Obama condemns journalist's murder

I just can't believe the stupid things that repeatedly are being said by the top Democrats lately. Between Biden, Pelosi, Reed, Hillary, and Obama, it seems like every time they go on television and make a statement it is politically stupid and comes back to bite them in the butt. The Republicans are worthless, but at least they seem to run their statements by someone with a brain before they make the comment. The Democrats need to fire some speech writers and advisors!

He would do whatever Cheney told him

Whatever.......

How do you think Obama would handle 911?

Do you even know all the safeguards Bush put in place to keep you safe?

He was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.....but he truly loved his country and did everything he could to protect it.

What an idiotic response. Makes absolutely no sense. It's just a hater's remark, or a sympathizer's. Hopefully not the latter.

Bush would go after these animals. It would resemble the Iraqis leaving Kuwait. Remember that highway strewn with military vehicles? I loved every picture of that event. Thoroughly loved it. There are several breeds of dogs that I rank higher than those terrorists. I lose no sleep over their demise or seeing them blown to smithereens.

Bush would definitely ruin their day. Let's see if Obama can make me happy and do the same.

Halliburton made 17.2 billion dollars from 2003 to 2006 Iraq and Afgan wars alone. What prominent political figure had close ties with Halliburton? Follow the freakin money!

Ladybird Johnson

That would be Brown and Root. Why else did Johnson not bomb North Vietnam into oblivion?....and he was a Communist, I mean Democrat.

Halliburton's profits were a by-product of war, not the reason it was fought. Huge difference. There are lots of companies that profit from war. You really need to come up with a better response. Yours is kinda lame.

    • That's an interesting take, but considering that an incumbent enjoys a HUGE advantage historically, I think Covey came pretty close to an upset. I don't care one way or the other - the biggest reason being that I live in Hardin County. But I have to think the Trump endorsement got Covey that close in the first place. His only recognition was on a very local level, virtually unheard of before the Trump endorsement. Otherwise, he probably would've lost by thousands of votes instead of a few hundred. Just my observation.
    • I think the interesting point is this… Trump backed candidates do better when Trump is on the ballot. Back in March Covey was up by 3%, and that skirt from Jasper pulled about 10%… and most people believed that her voters would go directly to Covey. Conventional wisdom was that Covey would be up by 10-12 points if all things went according to the pattern from March. That just didn’t happen. Typically turnout is lower in runoffs than in the primaries, and my guess is that Phelan had fewer votes this time around than last, but covey had WAY fewer votes. A friend of mine has been watching a similar runoff in central texas, and the results were similar. The MAGA guy just didn’t turn out the votes this May.    My opinion is that a large portion of the support these Trump guys are just that…. Trump supporters. They’ll vote down ticket according to MAGA directives when Trump is on the ballot, but when they can’t vote Trump, they just don’t show up at all.

    • Then you should have known lots of people said the exact same thing when the alcoholic Democrat Ann Richards was elected way way back in the day. Texas has become redder and redder ever since. People, especially blacks, are waking up and realizing the Marxist Democrats are destroying them. Feel free to hold your breath waiting on your dream to happen though. That would be fun to watch, LOL.
    • I don’t think anyone thinks y’all are short on pitching. But 7 pitchers that can go 7 innings in the Regional Finals is a bit of a stretch I would think. I think that’s why he made the joke. Let’s just hope that this weather allows us to play a normal baseball game and not fight through mutiple rain delays every night.
