El Guapo Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 LCM fans have been extremely quiet. I would expect to hear more from them since the drop in classification. I believe their playoff drought will surely come to a end this season. Quote
NDNation Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 They were in the playoffs last year. Quote
El Guapo Posted August 1, 2014 Author Report Posted August 1, 2014 Sorry, drought? Thats ok ! I didnt bother correcting you because Im not one of them people. Well anyway It has been few years since they have made the playoffs, right ? Quote
El Guapo Posted August 1, 2014 Author Report Posted August 1, 2014 They were in the playoffs last year. Wow ! Thanks for the correction. They never get much attention so I didnt realize. Still would think they would have some fans on this board excited about this upcoming season , with the drop in classification. Quote
El Guapo Posted August 1, 2014 Author Report Posted August 1, 2014 Seeing that I dont bother with Dave Campbells magazine,What do they have returning? Quote
HurricaneCal Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 I don't know, but I saw some of the coaches at the area track meet last year and they seemed excited, guess that doesn't really say much though because all coaches are excited at the beginning of the year. Quote
Tyler Dixson Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 They have two legitimate D-1 prospects on the offensive line. No matter what classification that helps. They lose there top two rushers in Brandon Tolliver and Jalen Griffin. But Robert Green is a capable replacement. The defense will lose 3 secondary starters and that will hurt them alot. I expect them to be top two in the district. Dropping down will help LC-M football and allow them to be a good solid overall team in the region. Quote
skipper Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 the bears will be tested big time the first game we will see if they can stop the big kid that will be placed in the backfield with rutledge 225 pounds he will be the led blocker now that the mustangs have gone to more of a ball control team a clock burner lets say Quote
Tiger33 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 LCM will be fine on the Oline. They have several guys that can run the ball. The biggest question is who is going to be there quarter back. Quote
AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 QB should be the big kid who suffered the knee injury and miss all of last season. Sr with a cannon for an arm. Should have a big year. LCM has the potential to win their district and go deep in playoffs if they stay healthy. skipper 1 Quote

Also, I think one of the biggest problems for LC-M, or whoever makes the playoffs, is the district they'd have to play in the first round (Carthage, Kilgore, Tyler Chapel Hill, etc.) chukslegacy 1 Quote

If so, they won't miss a beat at that position. Quote
Tiger33 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 No Green was on Varsity last year and is going to be Senior. Quote
AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Who was the RB on jv last year? That kid is something special. Quote

AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 You have me mistaken for an LCM fan. I'm just giving an opinion of what is likely to happen. LCM will beat Silsbee and Jasper. Write it down. Save this post or whatever. LCM would have been the 3rd best team in 22-5A if they had stayed up. Quote
sully Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 We will see about LCM beating Silsbee and Jasper. Both teams went 3 rounds deep and are uusually pretty talented. Quote
