PN-G bamatex Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 I looked and the last time I see they played was 2003 and wos won by 1 point You have no idea how many games WO-S won over PN-G by one point.... skipper 1 Quote
PN-G bamatex Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 in the past 30 years... one. What I should have mentioned was how many games WO-S has won by a touchdown or less. In the last thirty years, that totals 7. I guess that shows how long it's been since I've taken a close look at PN-G's all-time game results. skipper 1 Quote

skipmeister Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 The last time Port Neches-Groves played West Orange-Stark in West Orange was back in 2002 where the Mustangs won in the closing minutes 3-0 on a field goal by Jason Shuman! Quote

biaplayer Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 YES, that game could have very easily have been won by PNG, opening drive they get to mid field run a fake punt on fourth down to keep drive alive. Work their way down to the 1 yard line and get stuffed 4 consecutive times. Should have kicked field goal it would have went to overtime lol. the game was scoreless until the last 48 seconds of the game , wos kicks the 48 yarder to go up 3-0. PNG gets the ball goes down to I think about the 20 yard line or so and runs out of time. Was a hell of a drive with limited time although it was aided by multiple unsportsmanlike conduct hankies every play against wos. Was one of the better games although there was no scoring , it was all defense on both sides of the ball. Quote
AshlyHasBeen Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Mustangs have 7 wins over PNG by 7 or less 2003- WOS 21-20 2002- WOS 3-0 2000- WOS 7-0 1999- WOS 21-14 1998- WOS 17-12 1989- WOS 25-20 1978- WOS 28-24 NDNation 1 Quote
badndn Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 In '89 and again in '99 those were the only L's for PNG going into the playoffs. '89 finished 12-2 and '99 finished 14-2...Well done Stangs...Well Done! The '98 game at Dan Ray Hooks Stadium, ended with the clock running out on about the 2 yard line with Long trying to get everyone to the line to spike it for shot at the game winner.
