  1. That's only to those who choose not see what's REALLY happening. We could transfer our entire team OUT and still be talked about...so, I think that we should just take it all as compliments when people talk about us because they are taking the time to think about us!!!
  2. jdawg03, district is over, why don't we pull for the teams that made the playoffs from our district!!! all year someone has put down the silsbee baseball team!!! that group of young men really has grit!!! why don't we talk about that calhoun kid, who left the game with a broken nose, came back to finish the game because he loves the game!!! let's get everything in it's place!!! Hello Slim!!!
  3. no one ever give any nederland players any credit. they must have some good and deserving players or they wouldn't have the record they have.chris laird should be a 1st teamer he's batting way over .500 in district and atleast ,400 something for the whole year.ryan sampere and aaron mcfarland have definitely done their job . mcfarland was in a slump because his coach change his batting stance he was batting .392 until then i think he back on track now . sampere is proably batting .300 sometning. hemke has pitch great all season, and what about ryan butler.so please give some credit where credit is do. yall talk alot about png and they don't even deserve to be in the playoff
  4. 2, I don't have to talk to the coach, hell I was one many moons ago. That's my whole point. No disrespect to you.
  5. thanks for the info notinthepressbox. are you trying to say that the reason some of these kids made all district is because their parents are keeping stats? I for one do keep stats and they are for my son and my son only. talk to the coach if you have a problem, he is the one who keeps up with everyones stats.
  6. All the talk was Alverez was getting this job. Where did he end up?
  7. Good idea Razor! Easy for Jody to talk trash when BH won't play anyone near the caliber of LM or Brenham. We only scored 17 against LM, but both games we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. Not that it matters, but we outgained LM in our game last year. We turned the ball over several times and after driving about 60 yds on our opening drive, had our punt blocked and returned for a TD. Anyway, have fun in Pearland Jody...The Dogs and Indians will be packing Reliant!
  8. why dont yall talk about what the title is about i think that there is some talent out here but from hj there is some kids that will make it
  9. I saw this post and I had to share this with you...... I went to the Bellaire v. Westside game the other night and I sat next to a Seniors mom. As I listened to her talk about the end of the season it brings me back to serious memories and how I felt a while ago. Over the next month thousands of baseball players that are classisifed as seniors will hang up their cleats and enter into the world of college freshman. There will be a few that have signed at a college to continue playing the game that they love and a handful more that will walk on to their baseball programs at the school of their choice. During this month all the players that will no longer play baseball will run on the field for the last time, throw the ball in warm ups and slap their team mates on the butt for the last time. As each of these players walk off the field the parents will close up their chairs, pick up their worn out score books and at that moment realize they can't say to their friends see you at the next game for the first time in years. As these parents walk away they wonder....what will I do with all the extra time? *************************************************** I wish nothing but good things to all. Good Luck to ALL!!!!!!!!
  10. So ESPN you can't even talk for yourself
  11. Slow news day fueled speculation, Biffle says AVONDALE, Ariz. -- NASCAR officials have yet to speak with Greg Biffle's girlfriend about her confrontation with Kurt Busch's fiancee following a wreck between the two drivers. But Biffle did. Nicole Lunders has been embarrassed by the attention her spat with Eva Bryan received, and Biffle said Thursday that too much has been made about the words exchanged on pit road two weeks ago at Texas Motor Speedway. "It certainly got way out of proportion because there wasn't any big news that week," Biffle said. "Nobody got out of the car and shoved somebody. It was kind of an uneventful weekend in sports, so it was a highlight. "She didn't want it to be and we didn't want it to be. I think it's over." Lunders was upset after Busch hit the back of Biffle's car, sending him into the wall and ending his race. The accident caused a hard impact for Biffle, and Lunders was angry because Busch had been involved in several recent wrecks. So Lunders climbed off of Biffle's pit box, walked down pit road to find Bryan and had a brief exchange with her that was caught on national TV. NASCAR officials said they planned to speak with Lunders about it. "She was just upset about it and really felt like Kurt was going to end up hurting somebody, and that's what she conveyed to Eva," Biffle said. "She wasn't mad at Eva one bit. They're friends and they talk and they do stuff. "It was a matter of the safety for everyone was really the concern, and that was it." It's not so clear how Biffle and Busch's relationship is right now, though. The two are former teammates, but Biffle has been furious about the accident. The two drivers have yet to speak about it, even though Busch left Biffle a phone message to discuss it. "Just letting it cool down a little bit," Biffle said. "Just letting it die." 12. If he didn't want to play them in their tournament, why do you think he would want to play them now? Watch the trash talk magic, Nederland did run rule us and the bears handled them quite nicely, twicely :blackeye
  13. You seem to talk quite a bit about that left handed kid for K'Ville. He's very, very average from the reports I get. You must be a relative or actually him.
  14. retiredoldcoach What I would like to see in All-District pics would be the best 9 players honored. Talk about watered down honors, All-District Courtesy Runner, come on ,lets have 9 postion players, then 2nd team.
  15. That is the talk but no confirmation.
  16. I have read all the BS about the coach this and the coach that. I have also read that the varsity players are not that good while pointing out certain positions. Now it's my turn to talk about you. First of all, how big of a man are you that talks BS on these boys while hiding behind your mama's leg. If you have something to say about these boys, come talk to me. I'll be at the next game, and will be happy to talk to you about it, especially when you want to point out particular players, one being my son. Ron G
  17. Let's please do not talk about Coaches on here..Thanks
  18. You are right bigred. Vidor did not respond. They are not very well coached. He doesn't know his talent. There are several JV starters better than there varsity counter part. 3B CF 2B Just compare the errors. Let's not even talk about the bats.
  19. He IS the MAN and dont need to change nuttin!!! I have played a lot of baseball and been around some good players and he is the BEST !!!! and he does talk too much
  20. bigred the more you talk the more you show that you know nothing
  21. bigred, you're the guy that sits in the stands and lives through the players you watch, probably because you either sat the bench or was not involved in any sports, maybe band or choir, not taking anything away from those two because they are respectible extracurricular activities. You keep bringing "Vidor" into this when really all you are doing is embarassing BC, really who in their right mind would read this post and think you were intelligent  not many. So br75 why don't you find a band message board and you can talk about who the next great flute player is. Peace out!
  22. Hey ETBU with all of this BH/ Huffman talk goging on I don't here much about the other teams in our district. Who is the #3 team in district 23?
  23. Alto As an Alto fan, I think our team has a great chance to do something special next year. In no way at all do we think just because we dropped that we will "win-it-all" so don't get that impression about us. We have a great coaching staff lead by Coach Keith Gardner and amazing athletes/talent. I know our kids have been working hard since November and are ready to go! We are playing a brutal non-district schedule with two 3-way scrimmages against Elysian Fields/Harleton and Corrigan-Camden/Palestine Westwood and non-district schedule which consists of: San Augustine, Timpson, Burkeville, Hemphill, and Huntington. We can't wait for the season to start and I hope to talk good football with you guys throughout the year!
  24. WOS John Patterson gets the start against Houston Astros Monday at 1 PM for Washington Nationals. Seen Patterson many times during high school and talk about throwing gas. What a treat during district back then, you could see 3 current professional players battle it Tuesday and Friday as Nederland Brian Sanches, LCM's Beau Hale and WOS John Patterson let it go.
  25. heres the story HOMESTEAD, Fla. (AP) -- Driver Paul Dana died after a two-car crash Sunday during the warmup for the season-opening IRL IndyCar Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The other driver, Ed Carpenter, was awake and alert at a Miami hospital, IRL officials said. Dana, 30, a former motorsports journalist with a degree from Northwestern, was a rookie who competed in three IRL races for Ethanol Hemelgarn Racing last year with a best finish of 10th in the race at Homestead. The Toyota Indy 300 race was expected to be run as scheduled. Bobby Rahal, co-owner of Rahal Letterman Racing for which Dana was to race this season, said the team's other two cars -- driven by Danica Patrick and Buddy Rice -- will be pulled out of the race. Dana's wife, Tonya, was in Indianapolis, where the couple lived, and was notified of her husband's death while attending a church service. "Obviously, this is a very black day for us," Rahal said. "This is a great tragedy." Carpenter spun and hit the wall moments after the practice began at 10 a.m. EST. As Carpenter's battered car slid to a stop, Dana slammed into it at almost full speed -- about 200 mph. Dana's car nearly split in half. The chassis flew about 6 feet off the ground and pieces were strewn down the track. It nearly turned over, but landed on its wheels before sliding to a halt. Buddy Lazier said Dana passed him and Scott Sharp after both slowed because of the accident. "He carried way too much speed in and wasn't aware of what was going on around him," Lazier said. There was no immediate explanation for Dana's failure to slow down several seconds after the yellow lights came on around the track because of Carpenter's crash. "That's just the first time of the weekend that we got all 20 cars on the track at the same time," said IRL president Brian Barnhart. "Ed had his problem in turn two initially. The yellow lights were called immediately and all systems functioned properly. It's just a busy time out there, with a lot of cars and a lot of traffic." Rahal said the team knew of no problem with communications. "The spotter made clear the incident," Rahal said. "From what I could see, there was a car on the outside. Paul was just passing or had just passed, but I think it would be conjecture and probably very irresponsible for me to try to dissect as to why what happened, happened. But there was no problem with communication." It took track safety workers about 15 minutes to get both drivers out of their cars. The practice session did not resume. Rahal, who co-owns the team with television talk show host David Letterman, said the plan was to field cars for Patrick and Rice at next Sunday's race in St. Petersburg, Fla. He said any future plans for the No. 17 entry, the car driven by Dana, "are unclear at this time." Dana and Carpenter, the stepson of IRL founder Tony George, both were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. IRL officials said Dana died shortly before noon. Vision Racing team general manager Larry Curry said he was told Carpenter "would be fine." Dana is the first IRL driver killed since Tony Renna died in a crash during testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October 2003. The last NASCAR driver killed was Dale Earnhardt in February 2001, and the last driver to die in Formula One was Ayrton Senna in May 1994. It is the third racing death at the Homestead track -- John Nemechek was killed in a NASCAR truck race in February 1997 and Jeff Clinton died in a Grand Am sports car event at the track in March 2002.
