True story:

My first year coaching soccer, I started up the program at Ozen.  I didn't know what tournaments were available so I called Coach Lopez at Nederland to see if he had any suggestions.  He said come to his tournament.  His JV was in it.  It'd be fine...  First day (my first ever game as a varsity coach at the tender age of 25) we somehow get to play Nederland's varsity.  Final score: NHS - 17  Ozen - no shots on goal.  A wonderful experience for a first-time coach.  Thanks, Jorge.

The Langham Creek girls beat Channelview 18-0 last week, too.

so should the bench be kept from scoring?  i guess i am just not getting this whole "low score mentality" thing (on another thread) 

if every team switched jersey's around, we could all "lose just 1 player"  :  how about a freshman...WITH 5 O'CLOCK SHADOW? 

so what do you do about teams who are below par?  should a coach hold the score to a certian number?

why or why not?

i don't know that i would say that png dominated the last of the 1st half.  they had a couple of good runs, but that was about it.  lcm took more shots on goal, just didn't find the net.  control was an issue for both teams, but as a whole they were pretty evenly matched.

maybe they can pull it together before district?  their players always seem confident, especially on the message board...

all of the soccer fans are on countdown!  everytime we get a little bit of cold weather i get excited!

The purpose of this post was to ask:

wow!  what a great guy you are!  most everyone on here is generally respectful even when they play opposite each other...you are in a class by yourself! :

papmered behinds?  :  you obviously have not watched much soccer.  they play in the worst weather, run for 90 minutes, & have one of the most agressive (& important) games on the planet

Take a look at last year's MVP and All-District picks and notice the large number of underclassmen.  The district, overall, should be better than last year since so many top players are returning with another year of club experience and another year of physical maturity.
