7.
It still should be Nederland and PNG fighting for the top spot.  Would figure it that way.....
So who do you have?
 8. LCM was up by 20+ in the third.  Then Coach Harley went heavily to his bench, including several football players who did not play basketball last year, so needless to say they were pretty rusty.  This game was not as close as the score.
 9. You just gotta wonder what sport will be on Ozen's mind Friday  ;D The last two years they played LCM to end the season, and they definately were lacking in effort.  With that in mind (and because it is the last school game for some very important Lumberton players) Lum 35 Ozen 31
 10. A pretty reliable source in Orange has it that Gonzales will sit unless they absolutely need him.  So expect Zack Sonnier at qb, unless LCM gets down far enough to jepordize their chances.
 11. Two years ago LCM won a total of 2 or 3 games (all freshman) and wasn't able to field a jv at the end of the season.  This year they have already won 20 games (not including frosh B) and have a combined record of 20-9 (not including frosh B).
 12.

I'm very proud of the coaches and players. Our defense is still not the type of defense we had last year or the type defense we were used to in past , but they have improved greatly. We have made changes in our defense weekly since the Nederland game and at this point 5-4 and being assured a playoff spot is a good accomplishment for our players. A month ago things did not look good at all, and the players and coaches have continued to work hard. They are getting better weekly and maybe will peak at the right time. With our offense, if the defense can make some stands who knows.
eww--eww....me...me..me..me...I know....I know.  PNG going to get thumped regardless who they play round 1.  ;)
CPS really needs to take that baby out of your custody...
 13. I am not so sure that Nederland's secondary is better than LCM's.  No doubt, LCM's corners are pretty good...
 14.
LCM struggled w/GCM & BH beat NED but Dayton whooped the 19-4a pair 103-7 and the 7 was late vs.2nd string D and the O played 3 qtrs.Here's your sign  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Just to show you how mindnumbingly ridiculous your argument, let me remind you that Lumberton beat Barber's Hill 33-13.  And the week after BH beat Nederland, Nederland lost to Vidor.  So its not like Ned was playing their best ball at the time. And by the way, the score to LCM-GCM was a lot closer than the game.  LCM won the yardage game like 350-170 and didn't try to score in the fourth quarter, while GCM scored on a long botched play with 30 seconds left.  And that was before GCM knew that they were bad, which can really make a difference.  That being said, I say 20-4A wins 2 or 3 of 4.  The only advantage 19-4A has is with Dayton IMO
 15. well there isnt really such a thing as a 3a soccer team, right?
 16.
God i love being the only underdog again. It means teams usually count you out. ;D ;D
Good point.  LCM was stupid enough to give themselves a win before the game started and it almost cost them immensely...
 17.
All I have ever seen Sonnier do is catch the WR screen.
In fairness, he is averaging about 20 yards per catch this year...

 19.
week 5-(Livingston) Showed heart, and the ability to adjust and keep playing, after being down 14-0.
LCM also knows a thing or two about coming from behind to beat Livingston  :D
 20. Livingston's pass defense will be a total liability, but Nederland will really struggle to stop the run.  And i agree; whichever team loses will be facing a uphill battle to get into the playoffs
 21. First off, I'm was an unbiased spectator at the game. Second, I have very rarely, if ever, call out referees after the game. Finally, it can not be understated how ABSOLUTELY PISS-POOR that no-call was on the long touchdown pass by Kirbyville.  The kirbyville receiver reached out and pushed down the west orange defensive back, then caught the pass.  Total blown call
 22. I think after 2 games it the power rankings look like this 1. Central 2. LCM 3-4. Livingston/Lumberton
 23. After Week 5, standings are: 1. Central 2-0 1. LCM     2-0 3. Liv      1-1 3. Lum    1-1 3. Ned      1-1 3. Vidor    1-1 7. PNG      0-2 7. Ozen    0-2
