1.
If you do not want to talk about the game, but just bash Silsbee, please go somwhere else to do that. Thanks  ;)
Nah, I think this is the right place to do that...
2. Wow!  A 2-0 win against the Silsbee jugarnaut?  So this makes Liberty the Texas 4A team to beat then, correct?
3. I got this off of KOGT's sports page: Tuesday: The LCM Lady Bears soccer team defeated the Lady Vidor Pirates Tuesday night 5-2. Freshman, Constantina Hug started the Lady Bears on their run, striking in the first 3 minutes of the game. Freshman, Lemlem Faske scored twice and Junior, Mallarie Hearn scored twice to end the game 5-2. LCM improves to 5-0 in district. LCM is 5-0 without Emily Hughes...
4. Um, if you just fell asleep at the wheel, I think you have more pressing matters than 41-4A... ;D
5. The W is the only one that counts.  It works like in other UIL sports this year
6.
Did LC-M play their starters?
Haha yeah just totally not mentally ready (and BC was looking to avenge a 8-0 beatdown against Central). Funny how LCM beat both Bridge City and Central 3-2 in the same week
7. Now that I am free to kick back and give a good, unbiased 411 on the LCM Bears, this is how I see, this is a long one, so here goes... The LCM bears mindset of 2010 was totally different than the 2009 mindset.  The 2010 bears were going in expecting to compete for a district title (starting after 7 on 7 success and peaking after the dismantling of Lumberton).  Emotionally, they totally peaked too early in the season - this is evident in how they finished the season.  The first three games - Lumberton, Ozen, and Central, you saw a totally different mindset than you did the last 4 games, particularly on defense.  They totally had their head up their --- against Vidor, gave a weak showing against a admittedly hot PNG team, played shamefully defensively against Livingston, and totally did not show up at Nederland.  Don't forget, this was a team that going into the Nederland game thought they were going to be a second seed (thinking Central would beat PNG and they would beat Nederland - either or, a host of things would have to go against them to not make the playoffs).  And they were getting their butts kissed after the sorry, fortunate Livingston victory.  Nederland, on the other hand, had to go in and win as underdogs on senior night to make the playoffs.  LCM put up such a sorry, half--- performance that I left midway through the fourth.  And not to make excuses, but the Bears did lose 7 starters in between the Lumberton and Nederland games, not including Gonzales's injured performance. Now fast-forward to this year's team: although they return about 10-11 starters (not including guys who stepped in for injured players), they are widely considered an afterthought.  But these are not boys formed in the Moody era.  These will-be sophomores have already won 13 frosh and jv games, almost as many as this years graduating seniors had in all four years of high school. Thus, they are part of a winning program, and are expecting to win, unlike this year's seniors were.  And the coaches now have a winning base to build around.  The workout room ethic last year was nowhere close to this year's, and the running program is above anything I have seen in high school (not that I'm too experienced with high school offseason training/conditioning).  And perhaps most importantly, the coaches don't have to put up with lazy kids and whiny kids, because kids want to be a part of this program.  Its not just a disciplined nucleus of kids this year, its everybody.  The only weaknesses this team has is that they will be hard-pressed to find corners to replace this year's guys, and finding a replacement for Gonzales will be difficult.  Sonnier, although a phenomenal receiver, will not be as missed because of LCM's incredible depth at the receiver position.
8.
I should know the answer to these questions but I can't get a firm answer from those who should know,  ::) so....     Are districts 37 and 38 using a point system this year to determine 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc, or will they go strictly by wins/losses/ties?     If they are using points, will overtime wins still scored the full three points for the winner?     Will both teams' record reflect a tie if the score is still tied after the second overtime?     Will the points for a shootout be split 2/1 between the teams according to who wins the shootout?     Without a point system (as in club tournament play), I assume a shootout win would be simply recorded as a win. Thanks for the help. Good luck to all the girls and boys teams this year!
There are no ties in boys 38-4A (dont know about girls).  It goes 2 overtimes, then 5-man shootout, then sudden death shootout
9. Bears win 3-2.  Bc scored first, then garhett bonneaux scored on a free kick.  Bc scored early in the second half, then mitch heil scored on a penalty kick.  Jordan king scored the final goal towards the end of the game on an assist from tanner crow
10. Great game.  Also seemed to be one of the best attended games I have seen the Bears play this year.  The fan support was noticable and I know the boys appreciate it.
11.
Thanks... What do you think of Central this year?
I have seen them play and I have the same impression - decent controlling the middle or on the defensive end, but absolutely deadly in the attacking third.  That alone will make them deadly if a Nederland or PNG has an off night against them
12. Barcelona - Gerard Pique is a hoss.  And Puyol isn't bad either...
13. LCM and Nederland boys are playing at LCM at 2 pm on Saturday
14. 1. Nederland 2. PNG 3. Vidor 4. Central 5. LCM 6. Hamshire Fannett 7. Bridge City 8. Ozen
15. Lcm won 7-0.  Garhett bonneaux, jordan king, and mitchell heil each scored 2, and some freshman scored the other
16. Seriously, can a moderator please kick these silsbee jerks (obviously, STiger85 and the like are NOT included in this group) off this site. They are just some goofball kids trolling around the soccer forum, putting up stupid posts and threads trying to elicit some sort of response.
17. How come the Kelly people insist on having their own threads?  Why can't they just put scores in with everyone else?  It would really help clean up the site.
