The mustang LBs blitz regularly because the are usually up by 2-3 TDs and their opponents are playing catchup (i.e. throwing the ball downfield). You can bet that they will drop in coverage Friday night and one of them will be "spying" the QB to take away his dual threat capabilities.
He is not a dual threat.  He only has like 85 yards rushing on the season.  He is a pocket passer, he can create time for his receivers but doesn't run much.

The one thing I noticed (correct me if I am wrong) you have a tendency to blitz your backers quite a bit.
I wouldn't look to much in to tendencies.  We haven't played anybody that has put any pressure on us with the pass.  We are going to see some adjustments to our defense that are going to be new to us this week.

    Gasilla, you going to it?

    Do mosquitos bite?

There will be plenty of WO-S grads who live in the Greater Houston area in attendance at this one.  I'm taking my future son-in-law because I want him to see what Mustang football is about.  I think I picked a good game to initiate him.  ;)

Be careful, he may leave as a Rattler. 😀

Thanks for your honesty! I also believe it will be a close game throughout! But I believe y'all are highly underestimating our offense. I also believe the reason we win this game is because unlike any other team y'all have faced, we will get plenty of pressure without blitzing. I also know our offense has a few tricks up its sleeve. I still got us winning 21-17

As I appreciate your honesty.  That avatar still changing on Saturday though.  I will get you a good Navasota picture.  :D

    Navasota 24
    WOS 14

I remeber in 2000 we had a supposedly "amemic" offense and we rode that defense to the 4A state finals.
By the way, are you the same crackhead that said Navasota would put 45 on WOS? In a big game I'll take the better defense every time and that would be WOS.
I also didn't say the 'Stang offense would put up 28 pts. I said they would score 28 pts as a team. That doesn't have to all come via the offense. That ballhawking defense is good for a pick 6 or a scoop and score and we are also good at returning kicks and punts for TDs, too. So, let's say WOS got a scoop and score and a pick 6 and kick retuned for TD, which has happened this year, all the offense has muster is one score. I gave y'all credit when I gave you 21 pts. That's more than anyone's scored on them this year.
If y'all insist on throwing those bubble screens and WR screens, I can assure a couple of those are going the other way for scores.
If your are referring to me, I am not going to stoop to your ignorance with the name calling... Crackhead?  How mature...  Anyway, did you see somewhere where I predicted such a score?  If so, show me...

WOS gets by Lorena by scoring 28 points and by a very average West Columbia by scoring 20 points.  Some of you are very, very delusional.  Navasota ain't even in the same category as Lorena or West Columbia.  Some of you will be in for a real RUDE awakening!
You are also delusional if you think Navasota should even be playing this week, Nav should not have made it past Lamarque.
Thats false.  Navasota controlled that game from the beginning.  I guess WOS shouldn't had made it passed West Columbia because of there close win.  LaMarque scored both of their last 2 td's against a prevent defense and their 1st off of a short field because of a turnover.  When you make comments about things you really don't know the facts about, it just makes you look silly.  Navasota has taken down 2 top 5 teams in the state in 3a this year.  We have been tested and passed both test.  This will be WOS first test of the year.  Can WOS win. Yes if they play a good game they will win.  Can Navasota win, no doubt about it.
After 24 pages of crap, finally Sketer shuts-up these "CLOWNS" from Navasota.

Would that be Sketer or Skipper?

Easy now.  You haven't seen my Elway like gun, my Barry Sanders like ankle breakers or most of all my Ernest Givens like celebrations.
  8. Ifs and buts were candy and nuts;  the LaMarque game was never in question.  They scored 14 points off of our miscues.  Each oh the last 2 scores were with Navasota up 3 scores and playing a prevent defense.  I agree the QB made it an interesting game but Navasota was in control the entire game even with our 4 turnovers.  We ran the ball more times than we passed and against a defense that everyone said we would have no success on the ground against.  The big boys in the trenches may get tired, but just as LaMarques big guys did, WOS will also wear down.  LaMarque was getting pushed 5 yards off the line of scrimmage in the 4th quarter.

Maxpreps is not actual just like y'all's QB's arm I just watched film on him.

I'm gonna call you on that one. It is a totally uncalled for post. NO need to criticize kids on any way here. I think Salter might surprise you. Shame you on, who are you a two year old? AS far as the tweets back and forth show me the facts. WOS athletes were told no social media this week. Seems like all you do on here is try to stir crap up sir (using that team loosely). Support yout team but leave the childish insults somewhere else.
Agree with you.  This is not a place to bash players or coaches.
  10. I will be the first Navasota fan to admit WOS has a nasty defense.  Playmakers all over the field.  Navasota is going to have to play its best game to win.  If WOS is going to win they are going to have to play their best also.  If Navasota executes and doesn't turn the ball over they will win.  If WOS creates turnover and turns them into points for the offense they will win.  I am just hoping for a good game.  I don't think we have to worry about WOS players acting like thugs as LaMarque did.  I think Hooks would put an end to that crap first.  Should be the best 3A game of the year.  Either way both teams have had a great year.  It is fun to talk a little smack to each other, but in the end we have no control of the game.  Good luck WOS and air up them basketballs (just joking).  Travel safe and be loud.
