  1. Final score 17-20 EC wins. I'll talk about HF and let EC talk about their play. The game was pretty even in the first half even though HF fumbled a couple of drives away. 17-12 at half. In the second half I don't think HF got a first down. It was more of inconsistent play by the O and not EC's D. HF had their back to their endzone for much of the 2nd half and couldn't do anything with it. HF definitely needs to balance out the offense earlier in the game. When they needed to get passes completed they were unable to get that done. In the second half the D played well except for the long run by the QB. Two weeks to get ready for WOS!! Lets go HORNS!!!
  2. HF can match speed for speed at WR and in the secondary. If nothing else we will be able to tackle EC before they score. This will be a good test with WOS coming in two weeks.
  3. HF 28 EC-24 We will be firing on all cylinders this week. O, D, Special teams will take care of business.
  4. Hamshire-Fannett being 2-0. I thought we would be no better than 1-1.
  5. HF by 14! We will put have all facets of the game together this week before district starts vs WOS on the 29th! We have a more than a few fast guys that will match up with their fast guys on both sides of the ball. Size and strength on the Dline and LB's. They have been very stout against the run. This is a big game in our area because all these guys know each other having played baseball and basketball together for years. They were already trash talking last week.

  7. HF Longhorns Cameron Burrell-starting FS/backup QB 5'10" 160/4.6 2 ints and several tackles tonight Jordan Wright-starting Z-Rec/backup RCB 5'10 145/4.5 speedster with a lot of potential Hagen Daigle-starting RB and LCB 5'10 4.6/very quick All first year varsity players playing all special teams and lots of minutes on both sides of the ball. Getting better every week. These guys will be awesome as seniors!
  8. Good win by HF! 2-0!! Undefeated!! HF moved the ball well on Liberty's defense. HF had several opportunities to score. The running game was working well. The QB and one of the HB's had long runs to score. HF still needs to work on passing and kicking. One WR didn't turn on a pass in the endzone that should have been caught. The same WR was underthrown on a go route for a Liberty int. The other WR made a awesome one hand catch on a bad ball. I don't think there were any other receptions. The kicking game missed two extra points and 2 or 3 FG's. Liberty had at least 10 or more penalties on Offense. HF defense had 2 ints by FS. Liberty's QB struggled to throw the ball. Every pass was off target. Liberty will probably be practicing in the morning or when they get back to Liberty! HF has a few things to work on but I'll take 2-0 anytime. Go HF!!!
  9. HF will put two halfs together. Offense, Defense, and Special Teams will roll. HF WINS 21-17.

  12. 0-0 Backup QB and JV QB played. Starting QB was sick. Cleveland blitzed a lot.
  13. I was told HF vs Clevland will be at HF. I will post later today if I find out otherwise.
  14. Going to be a long season for Hamshire-Fannett possibly 0-10 or 3-7 at best. I feel sorry for the seniors. It doesn't bode well when your best player may be a soph. WR/DB J.Wright. Hes very athletic but raw. Never played varsity or jv. Will start both ways. He scored our only td. QB, RB, secondary very questionable. Lumberton had nothing but it was more than we had.
