To Inside Card- Not much to say. We lost! again! BC is better than us. Our offense had only one drive for a td and it got called back on a penalty. Defense was surprisingly like a sieve . The 2QB's-11 made a few plays. #2 made zero plays at QB and Zrec. The coach didn't use #2 as early as last week. Maybe he could have made a few plays in the first half to give us a spark. But it was only 14-7 at halftime. He runs most of the time so by 20-7 when he got in it was too late. Our QB situation will have to improve greatly between now and next season. That position has been problematic at HF for years! Good win by BC! Maybe the coaches need to move #2 to RB if he is such a great athlete! like Central did on Friday. Then they won't have to wonder if #11 will pitch or throw it to him he'll have to hand it off. I don't think I've ever been at a varsity game with 0 passing yards by either teams! Is the season over? We still got to play Kirbyville? :shock: Come on baseball season! Oh you guys will probably beat us in that too :cry: Are you guys going to the playoffs :?:

No! I'd keep it in the 30's. I wouldn't want people to think I was running up the score I wouldn't wish coaching on my worst enemy too much pressure from the fans/parents I thought I had a thankless job!

Last year I was told that Bevil was the best true QB but they played Beasley ahead of him. Beasley was one of the best HS athletes I've ever seen behind center! That held him back a bit in ref. to everyone knowing about him. He would be more known if they had used Beasley like they are using Earl Thomas this year.

HF 28 BC 14 HF D will step up and limit #21 to two td runs. HF O has a TWOHEADED QB= #11 will be consistant, will throw two tds, and will be turnover free. #2 will break two long ones for TDs. HF revamped O will make big plays and we will break the 20 pt mark for the first time this year. We will ruin BCs playoff chances :!: I'm going to feel great around 10pm Friday as I drive home to Hamshire!

I'll give on the scoring part 30 or less if the D plays the same but the WOS part :shock: You are going a little too far my friend! They would still put 50 in us :!:

HFs #11 played his best game of the year. I guess #2 pushed him to get it done?! Coach surprised everyone including OF with our two headed QB system. Good job by whole team. The D is real stout! We got 20 this week can we score more? We will probably need 30 or so the next two weeks to win. Lets be a spoiler and knock someone out of the playoffs :twisted: Hopefully the helmet to helmet play after the whistle that knocked #2 out off the game on that one drive was inadvertant? He was hit in the face by an OF player as he got up off the ground. He thought his two front teeth were knocked out! That injury was why he didn't take any more snaps at QB the rest of the night. He was finally getting a feel for the position when that happened. Hopefully the coaches will continue to give him snaps. He seems to be able to make some plays with his feet. Can he make them with his arm?

HF will be a spoiler the last two weeks at BC and vs Kirbyville :!: I hope no ones playoff hopes are on the line Oh they are! Defense is solid and O is thriving with a two QB system. #2 pushed #11 to his best game of the year.

Great to see HF win. Its been awhile! Can we win two more :?: :shock: I'll just enjoy this one!

Sorry I thought you were one of this years players. They need to get off the boards and do some homework! Anyway back to HF football-They could have brought the frosh up to get used to the speed of game. Special teams and work during the week with the big boys. The coach decided midseason last year that several of the frosh would be on Varsity this year because of their speed. Catching up to the speed of the game has been part of the problem this year. Even thou we won the first two and have been close in others. They have played reasonably well despite the record. HF has a lot of first year varsity guys this year junior and soph. Some are playing different positions than they have played in the past. None of the sophs played JV last year! I wouldn't have replaced any of the players on last years team because they were the best we had. If HF had won one of the last three games of the year they would have made the playoffs. Three blowouts. The frosh could have played at the end of those games. If you ask the coaches privately about this season (after the season) they'll tell you this season was for seasoning of the younger players not for the seniors. I had HF going 3-7 when I first saw the schedule. When HF beats OF tomorrow I will probably be right. To win even one of the last two games HF would have to take a very large step up on the offense side. The defense can hold its own. HF could be 6-1 right now. Wouldn't that have been awesome :?: :shock: Oh well lets try to finish strong :!: :!: The QB may be changing his myspace site by Friday night 11ish back to JV QB! He might want to do well in a game before all that!

When I said nothing to lose I was meaning we are out of the playoffs. If we win or lose the rest of the games it doesn't matter in the larger scheme of things. Get ready for basketball season. These games are strictly for next seasons preparation only. Hopefully there will be other pullups from JV to see them in Varsity action in the next few weeks. Horndawg even you may get pulled up! When the frosh were winning all those games last year they should have pulled some of them up to help us make the playoffs.

I think the coaches will put the new QB in positions to win the game. Hopefully they will call plays to his strength. This move is a big surprise. This change of position WR to QB is in stark contrast to the past. At HF from 7 grade on if you are put in a position WR, DL, OL, QB, etc. you stayed that way until you graduated. The coaches are finally thinking outside the box. If we can't throw put one of our best athletes behind center. This guy was one of our starting Varsity rec. to start the year before he was sent down to work on this QB thing. He only caught the ball 3 or 4 times and had 14 to 23 yds per catch most of that yac. The Old Ball Coach might be a VISIONARY This is WOS type stuff :shock: We'll see if this works by Friday 1015pm. We have nothing to lose!

Could be a good thing. Keep some teams from holding the ball the whole quarter. HF will probably lose regardless.

I can't wait. Football season has been horrible. Basketball (boys) season will probably be horrible. Baseball season will be :?: With that large senior playoff-making class gone we will be soph and junior driven. Will we have pitching? Can they hit? Who is going to be the next big thing after Joey? It may take 2 or 3 yrs to find out!

horndawg-we'll have to give them a few more years before we can compare them to those guys. I've watched this group since they were 2nd graders. I've only seen Larnette play. He was used properly as a RB not WR like our fastest players now. I digress. The others played before I moved out this way. It has been a long time since someone has gone D1 in anything out here so they probably won't measure up to those other two guys. It would be awesome if some of them were able to do that. I would def. follow their careers. We can only hope!

I haven't seen OF or Kirbyvilles QB play. Out of what I've seen Bevil is the best. BCs guy is an athlete playing the position. Give him the ball and let him make a play. I thought the OF guy was getting a lot of pub for his play? Hows he been doing? The rest of 21-3a's QB are suspect at the least.

:shock: Numbertwo-You are giving away secrets :!: No one (ORANGEFIELD) is supposed to know about this. Its not true orangefield fans. We will have the same QBs playing this Friday. Don't believe the hype^

HF has a lot of problems as a 2-5 records says. QBs have to step up and quit forcing balls. HF is avg 3 int in the last 4 wks. 3 and 6 the last two weeks. QBs need to start throwing short passes(hitches and slants) and let the WRs run after the catch. HF is avg 8.5 pts per game to the opponents 17. The team has to quit turning the ball over and getting stupid penalties that stop our drives and keeps the other teams drives going. Other than the WOS and EC game the D has held 5 teams to less than 13 pts! The only problem in those same games we only scored 12 pts or less! 2 wins and 3 losses. Lack of offense is the main problem right now. If we can't throw the ball we won't win. Everyone knows we have to run because we can't pass even thou we are in the spread. The coaches have 3 games to get it together or start working more young guys in to prepare for next year.

We had 6 picks! :shock: They had 3 fumbles lost. What can we do different? We haven't scored more than 7 pts in weeks! :cry: Are we out of the playoffs yet? I think we have to win out and have every team but WOS lose the rest of the way. And then it would have to go to some type of tiebreak. Forget the playoffs- WILL WE WIN A GAME EVER AGAIN!?!?! :cry:
