  1. I'm with ya on that one BH FAN you'll be getting a message on that one. I'll let you guess from who???? ;D ;D If BH looking for someone to play with LM Coogs will play call us.With gas prices being what the are we are alot closer than Longveiw. If I'm not mistaken we had LaMarque originally scheduled at the beginning of the year before all of this happened. I sure wish Smiley/Forest Brook would have made this decision earlier! I would have loved to see BH on the field with LM.
  2. Are yall sure you don't wan to keep dayton inyour district for two more years
  3. I'm with ya on that one BH FAN you'll be getting a message on that one. I'll let you guess from who???? ;D ;D
  4. PNG and BH would be a great matchup. PNG vs. Huffman, PNG vs. New Caney, PNG vs. Galena Park, I'll say PNG easily. We know about Todd...BH89-2 is here to stir the pot up. Got to admit, he usually does a darn good job of it. And I tell you, if we do not start hitting the ball more consistently, 4 rounds deep ain't happening. BH vs PNG either a 1 gamer or 3 gamer would be a toss up. Baseball is streaky, these 2 could be knocked out before a matchup. PNG had a big win over LCM, but the week before lost to Vidor and squeaked by Ozen. I'll give ya a one gamer because just about anything can happen ,but PNG could not beat BH in 3 games NO WAY! PNG was touted last year and Huffman took em out. Sorry I just think this district has way to much hype IMHO ;D
  5. Whole lot easier? Say what? Before we went up we made a four year run there big boy and one of those wins was at your place. ;D Yeah but yall cheated remember and we have gotcha back since then ;D
  6. Good Job Eagles Hopefully I can watch a game before playoffs!!!
  7. Yep This is a once in a lifetime matchup! It's gonna be ugly, but still :'(
  8. looks like a solid pre season for the Bulldogs! Good luck
  9. Man this thread reminds me of the old days ;D ;D Can Barbers Hill come play??? This 4A district is for the birds Huffman, BH and Crosby are the only folks you can find on any boards!! After a rough year for the Falcons I think they will be the front runner for the district ,but 3A wasn't a whole lot easier as i recall!
  10. :D :D That's hilarious to me for some reason. Anything can happen on any given day. I've seen Longview choke too many times to not believe that. Good luck to you guys. Longview is in a heck of a district and BH just climbed out of 3A to barely make 4A 2 years ago. If you guys are going to choke please save it for our game ;D ;D BH will come to play though, one thing the kids a BH do not lake is heart, will and determination. This starts in Kindergarden and is impressed on them throughout there time at BH! Great tradition in all UIL catagories! Goodluck to the Lobos I'm looking forward to this game!
  11. Did you say coffee where.....where ;D
  12. Yeah, yeah, yeah...everyone knows the purpose of a scrimmage, but if BH would've "won" the scrimmages against WO-S, THEN they would have counted for more than just "practice" to you. Nevertheless, well wishes to BH in '08. Oh you would have never heard the end of it ;D Ok Griff lets call a truce this is getting old and you know deep down you like BHFAN anyway :-* Now back to the topic. Everyone knows this will not be a game, but if BH can score a little and hold longview to less than 60 it will be a great experiance!!! Now before any BH fans get on and say "I cant beleive you said that". " you need to support the Eagles" Blah Blah Blah I'm just keeping it real there is not a lot if any 4A teams that can hang with the Lobos.
  13. It's funny how it took one little mention of WO-S and BH in the same thread and you came running out of the Boonhill Docks. Hilarious... It would have been very easy for Coach Price to schedule WO-S, and now he has to arrange a travel date with a team all the way in northeast Texas. Another possible reason Coach Price declined to play WO-S is that this year's scrimmage would have been played at Dan Hooks Stadium, and ole Dan insists on playing these in a "real game" format, which the BH coaches objected to two years ago. At any rate, BHFAN here's another chance for your team to get manhandled by a team east of the Trinity. Go ahead and get your annual list of excuses ready... "It's only a scrimmage" "Scrimmages don't count" "We were without our best player" "We're just trying to find players to fill positions" "The coaches aren't trying to win" "We didn't lose...our defense dominated the line of scrimmage" Just be happy Kirbyville didn't have an open scrimmage date. Could be I know BH doesn't play scrimmages to win they use them to practice. Griff try to contain your jealousy of BH !Don't worry football is around the corner and WOS can place in the top three of district once again ;D MAn I bet that is a looooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggg off season ;D
  14. I'm with ya on that one
  15. The only reason that I can see that BH wouldn't schedule WOS would be because of Coach Hooks! Don't get me wrong I think the man is an excellent coach, but I remember a lot of jawing going on by hooks and the BH coachs during last years scrimmage where Coach Hooks was being phisically restrained from running accross the field!! The may be a case of Ego's not fear of playing IMHO.
  16. Thank God we scheduled Lonview and not the -----------Self Proclaimed Scrimmage champion best team in the Universe untill they get knock out of the first round WOS ;D Seriously though LONGVIEW WOW I am blown away!! I admire the NUTS here, but I hope we don't get to many injuries in a game like this! The good thing is NO team in this area better say BH was scared of scheduling them ;D
  17. Baytown will play at Stallworth Stadium the same place Lee and Sterling plays. And Yes BH does need to upgrade its visitor side now that they have moved up. You know I don't think that we have had a visitor fill the stands yet though! Huffman came close one year, but I know Dayton will bring the fans! Dayton needs to upgrade the parking some how then their stadium would be complete!! I don't think its possible though, too bad they didn't relocate the stadium to another area. Oh well
  18. Looking forward to the BH/PNG game!! BH still has some question marks ,but should field a competitive team this year. Lines should be stoute QB returning just have to find someone to carry the rock! Yall's stadium is looking good are they putting turf down? Backs on the seats in the home stands?
  19. At least 38 will go to jail after opening day riots conclude, so that will drop them back down ;D I know thats mean, but it may not be far from the truth :'(
  20. Glad our AD is working on basketball schedules ??? Baytown Sun Holes remain in 19-4A schedule By Dave Rogers Published March 25, 2008 The Crosby Cougars have taken the early lead in the 2008 football race for District 19-4A. Just a week after the financially troubled North Forest school district did the expected and voted to combine Smiley and Forest Brook high schools, which were both members of 19-4A, Crosby coach Kevin Flanigan appeared to have filled the hole left in his schedule. The original nine-team schedule, put together after UIL realignment in early February, had one team per week drawing a bye in a nine-week string of games beginning the weekend of Sept. 11-13 (Week 2 in UIL parlance) and ending the weekend of Nov. 8-10 (week 10). Teams scheduled non-district games in Weeks 0 and 1 for a 10-game regular season schedule. An eight-team schedule requires only seven weeks to play, leaving each school with a pair of open dates and a nine-game regular season schedule. On a backup schedule created in late February just in case a North Forest school consolidation might occur, the coaches agreed it would be fairest to make it so every team had byes in Weeks 2 and 10. No coach was happy with the arrangement and all have been busy looking for a non-district opponent to give them 10 games. A check of area schools Monday showed that Goose Creek Memorial, Barbers Hill and Dayton were still looking and Flanigan was waiting for final approval to play Bay City in Week 10. Bay City’s District 23-4A suffered a similar scheduling collapse Feb. 21 when the UIL granted Spring Branch Stratford’s request to move up to a 5A district with other Spring Branch schools. “Everyone in both districts is scrambling a little bit,†Flanigan said. “I have a tentative OK with one of the Bay City coaches, but I’m waiting to hear back from them.†Finding anybody with schedule openings at this late date is a longshot, but a Week 10 game would be most rare and appreciated. “I just hate having a bye in Week 10,†Flanigan said. “If you make it to the playoffs, that’s kind of tough, having to sit out a week.†Dayton coach Jerry Stewart agreed. “The third week of the season is kind of early for an open date and if you’re open the 10th week, that’s a scary thing,†he said. “It’s fair for everybody else in our district, but the problem is when we jump in there against District 20-4A (in the first round of the playoffs), they’ll be a little more battle-tested. “High school kids have to keep an edge. It’s hard for them to keep focused when they’re not playing.†Barbers Hill coach Don Price said district athletic directors are still in the process of redoing their basketball schedules so they include only one school from the North Forest district, which is as yet unnamed. But football schedules, as the first major sport on the horizon for the next school year, are big. Because the eight-team schedule was a complete redraw from the nine-team 19-4A schedule, all the league games will be different. For example, where Goose Creek Memorial was originally to play at Barbers Hill Oct.17, now Barbers Hill will play Memorial at Stallworth Stadium and the game must come on a Thursday or Saturday night. That’s because Stallworth is hosting the 42nd edition of “The Game†between Lee and Sterling Oct. 10 (That is, assuming the District 21-5A executive committee approves the football schedule as proposed. The long-awaited meeting to organize the DEC and name a chair school, which is supposed to be hosted by Channelview, still hasn’t occurred.) Homecomings have had to be reset, too. The coaches are advertising on the Internet for games. Price said he’s open to playing a Louisiana team. “We’re trying to fill that (the extra open day) if we can,†Goose Creek schools athletic director Tom Ed Gooden said, speaking for Memorial. “One option is we could play a JV team from somebody with a strong program.†As a first-year school with no seniors, playing a JV team seems a good option for Goose Creek Memorial. But not for the others. And not many are inclined to travel far for that 10th game. “We’re trying to keep from having to travel 250 miles to get one. It’s not worth that,†Stewart said. “If we can’t find a game, we’ll all just go to the Dairy Queen that Friday night.â€
  21. It's tough to catch a game these days!!! I'm coaching two little leauge teams right now ;D Huffman has a good coaching staff and will definitly play up to the competetion when it comes to BH.
