  1. I was thinking it was 6. 3 fumbles and 3 ints.
  2. Unfortunately, they are. Hope for a fast full recovery for the young man.
  3. Come on now, cheap shot? He was carrying the ball and it was a big pile. No cheap shot it was football. I'm sorry for anyone to get hurt but it was a football play.
  4. If they have artificial noise makers (ie bells, horns, etc), they can. Cheering, clapping, etc are all within the rules.
  5. I think the band is more for the fans. Years ago playing, I don't remember hearing the band on the field.
  6. I believe it's probably somewhere in between. But Vidor did have 2 long td drives of about 80 each, 1 that started inside the 10 (with the 60 yd td). So just to be generous let's say 70x2=140 +90= 230. Then we had the long drive that resulted in the fumble about the 15 in our first drive of the 2nd half easily 50yds. Those and only 2- 3 and outs, seems that it would be more than 275.
  7. The stats from the High School has Vidor having 370 total, 347 on the ground and 23 passing.
  8. Yeah, they penalize the team. The band is not supposed to play while the other team had the ball and is at the line of scrimmage. I haven't seen it around here, but I've seen it around Austin and in the valley. I think they usually warm them, then next time is 5yrd delay of game penalty and if it happened again is unsportsmanlike conduct 15yrds.
  9. I saw some holding by our dbs at the end of some pass plays, but you can't see those and not the holding by the o- line allowing the holds on the pass plays.
  10. I thought the QB played the first half against Dayton. So that would be week 2.
  11. It was not the principal, I believe it was one of the campus police(maybe,he was in uniform) . It looked like he said something after the first Ned td that the official did not like
  12. That's a good block if they don't call it.
  13. There are several inaccuracies in that article. Just saying.
  14. Ain't nobody talkin bout Jerry's World! Just talkin bout that whippin we gonna put on yall Friday Night in da dawggie pound!!
  15. Last night JV Vidor 22 Pasadena Memorial 14
  16. That's the way the rules are, as long as you are not lined up outside the defensive player (which at Vidor it is rare to have someone split wide). You also cannot block below the waist back towards you own goal line or if a defensive player is engaged with another player you cannot block them below the waist. Also, on a change of possession (int, fumble, or kicks) blocks below the waist are not legal.
  17. In the controlled part of the scrimmage Vidor scored 2 times and GP scored 1 time. In the live quarter of play Vidor scored 1 time and GP didn't score.
  18. It's Barbers Hill, Pasadena Memorial and Aldine McArthur.
