  1. i have no problem with our losses to anahuac and kountze last year the better team won, on that night  but the one to H-D well lets just say that in my book if theres a knock on coach Haynes it's that he puts to little emphasis on the preseason games especially the the ones against cross-town rivals  the bobcats won and thats great, congrats. but if you were there like i was, you seen the Hornets  doing things like punting on third down and trying different plays in crunch time.    like i said yall won thats great, it was a close game.  but i feel that if we were just out for the W last year we would have pulled it out.

  2. Yea well, I'd say he was close, Deior McNeil won the MVP last year and well deserving. taking him out of the conversation give me a better runner up than mitch villamez the (offensive MVP) , i dont know of anyone that's close except for John Stelly (defencive MVP) . McNeil and Stelly both graduated witch leaves us with villamez.  and i'm well aware that albritton was the Newcomer of the year , very few kids can say they made all-state as a freshman wether there 15 or 16 thats a great accomplishment. But to say he's the best athlete in the district going into his sophmore season well i'm not buying it.

  3. There's no way , not at this point. mitch is a senior and albritton is a sophomore. mitchell played ironman football last year , rushing for over 1500 yards. and on defence played very well in the secondary. if he had just played on the defencive side of tha ball. he would have put up bigger numbers. until your guy has a season like mitch has already had than theres no question who the better athlete is.             make no mistake about it Mitch Villamez is the frontrunner for tha  23-2a MVP    and was close to winning it last year.

  4. Yea in that order, I like Hardin to win the district and it's not because of any recruiting.  It's funny that if a program shakes some things up and makes changes, then people start saying that they had an angle.  The fact is that we had two kids that weren't homegrown last year. One was a coach's son who came over with his dad. and the other was a transfer from Livingston who had family that lived in the district.    And here's the best part neither kid finished the season on the team. the coaches son got homesick and went back to new caney and the kid from livingston got kicked off the team for disciplinary reasons. so yea thats right everyone but Anahauc and Kountz got it handed to them from kids right here in Hardin.

  5. it was for Hardin , not sure bout the cardinals though.        The Hornets play Legacy 3:15 Fri.  and Newton 9:00am on Sat.

  6. unfortunately on paper they dont look very good compared to the rest of district. they have a serious problem at depth but hey, who knows thats why they play. mitch and myles swing a pretty good stick and there's a couple of freshman (chayse taylor and brock clements)  that should make the team and probably start and maybe even pitch some.  thats probably where they'll struggle though  they've got one upper classman pitcher in garret cathriner and then you got myles taylor but after that it will drop off.  theres some good young baseball talent there. they've got a kid that has another year of ponyball left that is really good justin ogden, kid is throwing in the high 70's.    A-TOWN should know all about the clements kid his brother kelby had his way with BUNA.  supposedly

  7. I like the Hornets -- strong junior class next year with tackling machine Justin Stephens and what i think will be one of the best D-Lineman around Tyler Hunt leading the way.  myles taylor , marquis james , DJ hall , luke king , cory davis and dylan beltran are all sophomores , you've got to be kidding me with all the playing time they've allready had and two strait trips to the area round of the playoffs , yea this team should be good for the next couple of years
