Giving up 97 points in 2 games, can't help but get better.

    FEEL THE STINK
You always got something bad to say about the Hornets. Do you make these kinds of post about alot of teams, or did Hardin hurt your little feelings real bad. Probably bitter cause you couldn't make the squad. Do you got a team? or are you on here to make people laugh.

EC stepped up and made the plays when they needed to to pull out a hard fought victory over Buna.  They also played and inspired game against Anahuac that more than likely gives them a well deserved district championship.  Congrats on that.

The Cougars weren't playing too well coming in to district play.  Coach Morgan and his staff have gotten the players in position to take the 3rd playoff spot with a victory over Hardin.

In the previous post, all I was meaning is injuries, grades, etc. are part of the game.  You still have to put whatever the best 11 you feel you have at the time on the field and play the game scheduled.

Hopefully all will be at full strength come playoff time.
Lets go Hornets, finish the regular season and get ready for the playoffs. Good luck to E.C., Anahuac and Hardin!!!  lol.    ;D
  3. Er...EC defense has given up 0 points in 2 disrict games. Hardin 55 in 1 district game. Who has problems stopping the run?

Before you cut down Buna, they're going to beat Hardin too.

The last time these two schools meet E.C. had problems stopping the run.    That's right, we got it handed to us and gave up 55 to the clear favorite in district. Oh well, E.C. won't fair much better against Anahuac either i think.
  4. So, people still think that he is being recruited by major D1 colleges. I agree with footballplayer about him. Sam Houston, SFA, Lamar quite possibly. UT, A & M, OU anybody of that caliber definite NO. He's nothing more than a big fish in a small pond. He wouldn't start on a 4A squard, so how can someone honestly believe that he's D1 caliber. Some people that post on this thing need a reality check. MV is above average playing against weak schools.

What?  That's weak ,  come on, Kid has all the tools, athleticism ,size , speed and love for the game. Everybody cant be a nice guy, so he has an edge to him, I happen to like that in a football player Especially on defence. This kid, could show up for two a days, at ANY high school in the great state of Texas, 1-A thru 5-A and would start somewhere, and be the best skill position player on most teams.     As far as college goes,  you probably know that football scholarships aren't just handed out to anyone. So any scholarship that he gets will be better than 90% of seniors playing this year. And with his speed size and athleticism he could play at a major D1 school.
