3 nice runs by LL. 1st and 10 at HD 17.
-
Nevermind. Roughing the passer turns a 4th and 10 into 1st and 10 LL.
-
HD forces 3 and out.
-
HD is 95% healthy tonight. DeBlanc, Rayon, Robinett, and Romero all playing tonight. Taylor is only one out. Gonna be a good game!!
-
We didn't deserve to be in the playoffs this year ponderossa. HD will be back battlin' next year and will look to finish the season on a good note by beating Lovelady at home.
-
This is a rivalry game and Normangee is pretty tough. I think it'll be pretty close. I say:
Iola - 38
Normangee - 26

Thanks WOSgrad. I was thinking if two of the three teams had 18+ point losses then it would go to next tie breaker. You are correct. All HD can do is try to help out our nemesis from Groveton (and AS)
-
Hey it's very very unlikely, but if WH beats Groveton and HD beats LL by 18 or more, it's a coin flip between the three to see who gets in. Come on Oilers!!
-
I think Hull-Daisetta is somehow mathematically still alive in District 12-2A DI. If HD beats Lovelady and WH beats Groveton, then HD, Groveton and LL will all be tied for 3rd in district. HD would have to win by more than 19 (or whatever the capped number is) because Groveton beat HD by 30+. Lovelady beat Groveton by 10 I believe. Not sure what the second tie-breaker is after point spread against each other. I do think HD has a good chance of beating Lovelady having DeBlanc, Taylor, Robinett and others all back. Now WH pulling off a win vs. Groveton.... not sure.
Anyway, very slim chance, but anything's possible. HD will still play the role of the spoiler, if they beat LL, then the Lions are out and Anderson Shiro and Groveton are in.

District 12 is a mess now with Groveton's win over AS. Mathematically five of the six teams are still alive. Here's how I see it:
Current Standings:
Centerville 4-0
Anderson-Shiro 3-1
Lovelady 2-2
Hull-Daisetta 1-3
West Hardin 0-4
Scenario #1: All favorites for the week win. CV over AS, LL over HD, GV over WH =
1. CV
2. LL
3. Groveton
3-way tie for second. Tie breaker is winnings points vs three. LL +10, Groveton +9, AS +1. AS is out.
Scenario #2. AS beats Centerville, LL beats HD, Groveton/WH either outcome
1. AS
2. CV
3. LL
AS would be 4-1 but beat CV heads up for #1 seed. CV at 4-1 gets 2nd. LL gets 3rd as they beat Groveton head to head.
Scenario #3. CV beats AS, HD beats LL, Groveton beats WH;
1. CV
2. Groveton
3. AS
CV undefeated, GV and AS at 3-2 tie for 2nd with AS winning the head to head.
Scenario #4, CV/AS either way, LL beats HD, WH beats Groveton.
1. CV/AS winner
2. AS/CV loser
3. Lovelady
District championship decided by winner of AS vs CV. Groveton loss to WH puts them at 2-3, LL gets in at 3-2
Scenario #5 (my favorite). CV vs AS (either way), HD beats LL, WH beats Groveton
1. CV/AS winner
2. CV/AS loser
3. Lovelady, Groveton, HD (tie breaker)
Groveton had a large margin win vs. HD, but it's capped on the tie breaker. If HD wins by 19 or more then a second tie breaker is used. If HD wins by less than the cap margin, then Groveton is in, HD and LL are out.
Needless to say, the last week of district play in 12-2AI will be interesting!! Anderson Shiro wins, they're district champs. If they lose, they miss the playoffs!!! Lovelady and Groveton can both go from possible #2 seed, to out. HD has the slimmest of slim margins to get in. With three or four starters coming back they can definitely help Groveton and AS get in. -
SA up 14-6 early 4th
-
Groveton leading AS 30-28 mid 4th!!
-
75 yard Bobcat capped by a 10 yard Huckabay TD run. 49-16 CV. 9min in 4th
-
CV is good. Real good.
Yes they are. CV is gonna be tough in the playoffs for anyone to handle. They are doing anything they want with HD. -
That only took a few plays. Long pass down to the 4 and CV scores on the next play. 49-8 CV. 2min in 3rd
-
CV holds on downs again. 1st down CV on own 45. 3min in 3rd
