1. If Kelly doesn't beat Wville by double digits, I will be absolutely shocked. After studying the brackets tdy it was very obvious what the Wville coach was doing to give his team a chance to play for the championship. Pretty embarrassing if u ask me. I was told tdy he changed the bracket 5 times before settling on Kelly v Cleveland in the first round. Only chance Wville had. Kelly won their two games tdy by an avg of 20+ points. Cleveland won their two by 47 and 72 points tdy. Gee...I wonder if they were the two best teams?  ::) ::)
 2. Very poor job of bracketing by the tourney director in this one. Cleveland and Bmnt Kelley are by far the two best teams in the field. To have them play in the first game on the same side of the bracket make absolutely no sense at all. Kelley is solid but Cleveland played very lazy, uninspired bball today. Congrats to Kelley nonetheless. This would have been a very good championship matchup after the two teams shook off the holiday rust and had some momentum after a couple of wins. My opinion on this matter would be exactly the same had Cleveland won.
 3. The Village HS defeats Cleveland 51-49 @ the Jamboree.
 4.
Halftime 41-0. What do you as a coach tell your team down by 41 in a playoff game?. Cleveland has 0 offensive 1st downs. They have 2 courtesy of wos defense.
I don't know but I know what you tell the coach, "get your resume ready because you're about to need it".
 5.
Any news on if they will be back for the playoff push
I heard this weekend that Sykes is out for the rest of the year with a torn acl. Very sad for that young man because he's a senior. I haven't heard anything on Wilson.
 6.
So in two years when the sophomore are seniors they will compete for a playoff spot?
No.... ::)
 7.
Huffman played a very good Coldsprings team last week.  They got embarrased at home in front of a very large crowd.  Hats off to CS they have great athletes and great coaches and play the game the right way.  I will be pulling for them in the playoff. Now to get to topic.  Shepard better hold on and get ready for a air show tonight.  After last week Huffman has prove to they can bounce back and the scoreboard better get the ready.  This will be a loapsided beat down tonight.  No offense to Shepherd just bad timing.  Huffman's airshow shows up with a point to prove tonight.  Huffman wins bye 50!
You nailed it "Swammy"!! ;D ;D ;D Step up to the crow buffet while the line is still short.

 9.
Cleveland has no chance in beating CS.  CS is a corvette running on ALL cylinders.  Cleveland is a pinto that needs a tune-up!  CS has the team to go very deep and even win the State Championship!  I am proud to have them in our district and will support them the whole way.
I love it when they say "No chance".  :D

Did Cleveland circle Huffman?  Hope that circle can stop the run and score on a pretty stout DEFENSE or its gonna be a long night for Cleveland
Yes, they were circled. Cleveland had plenty of chances in that a game and didn't make the plays. Plus they committed way to many penalties. Enjoy the win over Cleveland. It will be your last one for a while.
Our last win for a while... CS makes playoff RUNS.. not 1 and done.. I will say region 3 will be TOUGH this year. Could have Navasota, LaMarque, WOS, but show a lil respect for a team that is the 2 time REGIONAL CHAMP and has proven they can beat LaMarque. Our tough pre district schedule will pay off during the playoffs.. So u are saying CS will lose to Orangfield or Bridge City.. DONT THINK SO
Try to actually understand what you are reading. I was referring to Huffman in my "enjoy the win comment". I'm well versed in Cs's success in recent yrs and I hope it continues but there won't be anymore walk overs against Cleveland for the next two yrs.
 11.
Thats why you get beat, the cleveland fans aren't working hard, and usually leave in 3rd quarter when the times get tough. We run sprints with the kids in Coldspring.......LOL
Running spints with the team sounds great but I have this thing called a job. You do know what that is, right???  ::) I agree that some of the Cleveland fans have a fair weathered nature. Not me, however, I leave when they turn the lights off. Win or lose.

 13.
Those years Tullos had a better athletic group of kids compared to now. Those kids won everything in Little League football and basketball. Their star running back (Heavy) moved to Northshore and they still won. The only difference would be maybe he would not be beat by as much. Stop "what if's" and start getting ready for Coldspring. More sprints and less talking.
I'm doing the talking but make no mistake about it. The kids r working hard everyday and Nov. 2nd has a big circle on it. Battle of the C's!
 14. Its probably Newton and then WO-S. WO-S is the best team in setx at its respected level but Newton will ultimately benefit from the lack of talent depth at the 2A level. 3A at the state level this yr is remarkably deep(just in region III alone). Whoever hoist the 3A-D2 trophy this yr will have definitely earned it.
 15. Not saying anything beyond wondering the possibilities. The program was headed in a great direction and in each of their 3 seasons under that staff they were reaching new heights. The next hurdle to jump was a significant playoff run. I will agree that with Coldspring and Huffman's improvement a balance of power was coming, but not the changing of the guard we ended up with in 22-3A.
 16. Just sitting here and had a thought. I was wondering if Cleveland's superintendent was on the Christmas card list of all Cleveland's 22-3A foes. He should be, considering the coaching debacle he created 3 yrs ago. It would be interesting to see how much things might be different in 22-3A the last three yrs.

Who would have thought that was even a possibility when the year started.
There wont be a fight,Cleveland will stomp Shepherd like a bug.
You will have an eye opening experience in two weeks. I'm not ready to predict an Indian victory but you can put that mercy rule in check. Coldspring isn't hanging 60 on the Indians. This game will be very competitive. I knew after the Cleveland v. Huffman game that Huffman would have trouble with Coldspring. Cleveland beat Huffman in every stat but turnovers and of course the score board. The only one that matters. If Cleveland can capitalize on opportunities offensively and not turn the ball over, the battle of the C's will be just that, a battle. The question is wil Cleveland recover from the beating Coldsppring will give to them the week before Shepherd plays them. I predict not, they fold and Shepherd by 6.
