I think I will be @Bronco stadium for this one to see for myself how good or bad Nederland is.They stayed w/Lumberton for half a game without 2 key players.If they can,t hang w/King then I will have a idea of what Lumberton brings to the table.

Have a little faith purple.I too was wondering about how my team the Dayton Broncos would fare this year w/C.Green's last years leg injury-5 returning defensive starters from last years semi-finals team kicked off the team before game #1 for a altercation @ school.Great coaches have a knack for seeing talent @ turning things around @ rallying the players.I think coach Stewart's philosophy is "Pain is Gain"if your gonna be successful your gonna learn to play w/pain.You have a great coach Burnett,a great team spirit,a fantastic fan support group,a new stadium,have some faith as I see better games down the road.

Could you imagine the atmosphere in a croud of fans in a close Quarters stadium in Round #4 game if it were Dayton/Lumberton head to head with the winner moving to the semi-finals matchup.That would be a mini version of Red River Shootout for under $8.00 per ticket.Two great teams playing all out,and the boys &girls who cheer @ play @ the screaming fans rooting them on.Some playing both ways offense @ defense to try to have just one more week fun.Good luck and let's see if it can happen for S.E.Texas.

Brenham lost 2 dist.games-Huntsville beat em good.Terry lost to Bay City by 14 @ another-Texas City lost 4 dist.games to Friendswood-Manvel-Angleton-Brazosport.Dave Campbell has Friendswood @#13-Dayton @#15 in state top 25 in 4A>Broncos preseason rank was #4 (guess 5 def.starters from last year-booted off for incident pre-season cost some votes along w/early loss to Friendswood)Differant day differant Bronco team. Friendswood hung on to a 1 point win over Manvel in final min.stopped a 2 pt.conversion attempt by Manvel several weeks ago.Broncos may get their 4th round shot @ Lumberton if they can survive the first 3.What if Crosby upsets the Raiders?Playoffs start a new season,who is healthy,who has turnovers @ turns them in to points,penalties(mistakes)returns,poor field position,can change the outcome.

Oops now I know I need an eye checkup-Everman is in our div. not in region 3 or 4 but in region1 div.2 but I think Rockwall Heath is the team from that region.

The UIL 4A Playoff brackets I am reading have Everman in Division 1-not Division 2 -- Dayton will not see them,Lake Travis,Highland Park,Sulphur Springs,Friendswood,Rockwall Heath,etc.---The big dog will be more than likely Edcouch Elsa vs.Dayton my prediction.

I will just base my comments on a proven and one of several outstanding coaches in this part of Texas that being Coach Stewart of Dayton(13) straight playoff's & 9 Dist.Titles(before took Cleburne to the title game @ playoff's as well.How many coaches in 20-4a have that legacy?There are some coaches in S.E Texas who have better winning records but it is a mere handful.If Stewart thinks this years team is more talented @ quicker then I would think his judgement is better than mine or yours.Every year it seems that all the great coaches teams are there after District is over.Rarely does a team sneak in a win against them.

Tradition @ record books clearly show if you can't throw- you are not gonna go to the big show.Let's look @ college ranked teams-Who is a predominant run team in the top 20??Good defenses can slow down the run knowing it is coming.Close down the corners-your strength is in the middle -that is where your help comes from.Last years state 4A title game was a 90% passing game.In most cases it is one on one coverage & noboby can cover A.J alone that is a fact & the last year's (20-4A)MVP in bigger @ faster and makes secondary's look real bad.Dugat & company take it to the house way to many times for the Lion's den will be shocked by Bronco's overall team speed.For grins I will say Livingston scores twice as that's been the avg.this year for the Bronco "D".

Who for real can slowdown the potent Broncos(13 straight playoffs-2007 Semi-finalist)If 20-4a still had Dayton in it alot of you would be picking them to win it all this year.This is on paper the most talented group Stewart has had.Bronco faithful think this is the year-A.J Dugat bigger/faster-Cody Green & co.racking up over 3,800+ offense while allowing a mere 11.5 points per game on defense.First things first Livingston Lion's- Co Champs 20-4A-See @ BELIEVE -_NEXT

Another fast pace/speedy King team that put up 40+ points almost every game.Alexander a 1,000 yd.rusher-look out as Dayton's defense was the only team in a while to shut them down as the Bronco "D" is big @ fast.King Panthers win by 18.

To new indian,not being cocky just plain ole stats just like others say,it is in the books no disrepect for anyone just betting on the numbers.If a team only punts now & then means the defenses have lots of trouble stopping them right?To refresh your memory a bit remember Dayton's great team in the playoff's last year and the qb G.Charles passing for 1,800 yds in 11 games w/22 td passes.Now add in C Green{injured in game 1 last year & missed it all as a soph.qb was rated Texas top 100 qbs.as he threw for 1,400 @ 22 tds.as a 10th grader.Now he is bigger 6'4" 210 and fast.He is now in top 35 in the state-Texas Ford Player of the week in 4A 3 weeks ago,and has put in the books more pass + rush yds.than Lumberton's entire offense.Signed w/Nebraska.I believe as other fans this is Dayton's best team in 13 straight playoff years-9 dist.titles and earned every one of them-no gimmee's like sending 4 from each dist.When Dec.comes around I would bet the Broncos will be there.Come on out @ see for yourself.This group has lot's of speed(can't coach speed) @ talent and looks primed for Coach Stewart for 4 more years as the Jv & 9th grade won all but 1 game(reason- moved some young kids up to varsity.That is no baloney just pigskin facts.

Not true Raideroltimer,we want you to win always ,of course not against Dayton.You guys started the threads about your 1st time win over the Broncos 8 to 7 last year early.This year was the 1st time Dayton won a scrimmage against WOS,they always like Friendswood beat us early.Yet we do not go on & on about it.It was last year-Raiders had a real good team w/30 seniors.I believe those 30 had played good together since jr.high and that does not happen alot.I will be the 1st to say congradulations again raiders on another good year but I realistically cannot believe you are as good as last year but time will tell soon enough.You should beat Crosby the weaker 19 4A team,but it won't be blowout.Comparing team stats in 7 dist.games in categories: PUNTS/Lumb.22----Dayt.9 ----TOT.OFFEN.YDS. Lumb.2,170----Dayt.3,863 DEFENSE tot.yds.allowed 7 dist.games Lumb.1,584----Dayt.1,344----Points scored vs. points allowed not anywhere close to Dayton.This Bronco squad is probably the team with the best shot @ a state title as Dayton has ever had,yes overall better than last year's team that went to the semi-final game.I am not counting the raiders out by no means,just on paper they don't match up but upsets happen everyday in sports.Good luck-keep winning-and we will see.

I was impressed how NF runs the football and they have size & speed.I was expecting a great halftime show but was disappointed as they looked like a Jr.high band .They need some funds to get these boys and girls a real band uniform.I will stick with 19-4A again on this one.NF by 14.Only Crosby loses by 7 to Lumberton.3 out of 4 win in 19 4a in round 1.

Hey Hawkeye A.J.Dugat has had a stomach virus all week and only played 2 quarters against Kingwood.Only another reason it was not awfully worse was Kingwood used every tic on the clock to slow down the Bronco stampede.The 40+ scores keep rolling and Livingston cannot put up that many in this one.Sorry kinfolks/friends up at the lake,better for you to go fishing.

Barbers Hill did not have Half enough seats for Dayton.Dayton has a lg.stadium w/lots of seating and a all weather art.turf.This matchup will show why the Broncos are the roadblock to the title shot.Lumberton wins this one by 7 points. Crosby plays well on offense but the "D" gives up to many points,and they are the weakest link of all the 19 4A playoff teams.The other 3 are speedy & greedy and win BIG TIME."L"TRAIN is the only survivor from 20-4A.Any news about possible seeds in round #2?Will the round go southwest or northwest?

Thought i would throw these stats in;The Broncos in 7 dist.games have only punted 9 times-0 in the last 2 games.Meanwhile the much improved DEFENSE has allowed 938 rushing yds=134 per game and 406 total passing yds.=58 per game over 7 dist.games.Not 1 point has dist.19 4A scored on a kickoff /punt return against Dayton,while the offense racked up nearly 3,900 tot yds on offense for the year to date.Livingston 's got a tuff game ahead.A shame they meet the purple wave in round 1.
