  1. Nick is a former Kelly assistant. There’s another name being mentioned.
  2. Really happy for Zach and he’s genuinely excited for the opportunity. Hawk fans can expect to see them sling it around. New facilities coming together and a new look for the helmets. A lot to be excited about at HJ.
  3. Winners Offense: Khegian Heckaman, Hamshire-Fannett Defense: Leighton Foster, Newton
  4. PNG beat BC that year 27-26 to keep them out of the playoffs (1996). The next season Long became the QB. Bridge City’s last win over PNG was in 1993.

  6. There were no Port Arthur Memorial players on the ballot for us to vote for. According to Coach Morgan that was a mistake because he definitely sent them in back in November.
  7. Thank you It was fun covering them as always. During the regular season we had BU vs West Brook (x2), Atascocita, La Grange (LA), Silsbee (x2), CE King. Nederland, Barbers Hill and Crosby Playoffs: Weiss, Crosby (TexanLive), Dallas Kimball, Timberview We we’re assigned to election coverage the night of the GCM game and Mardi Gras coverage the night of the Hightower game. Only reason we missed those.
  8. [Hidden Content] Sharing Tools (Premium)&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral This article lists four finalists, but Marcus Graham called me today and said this is not true. He has pulled his name out of the hat. So that would leave Foreman, Prouse and Crumedy.
  9. PNG Gordon LeBoeuf (1955) 2,150 Chase Bertrand (2010) 1,885 Caleb Harmon (2009) 1,818 Koby Trahan (2021) 1,766 Gordon LeBoeuf (1954) 1,659
  10. There's never been an issue. They're required to release the applicants. PNG will also eventually publish it on their own website.
  11. It’ll be later this week. PNG is using ten business days, which is what the law allows. Some districts give it out immediately. Others after ten total days. And some find ways to delay it until the day after a coach is hired. None of it really bothers me, and it’s not done to hurt anyone. We do this for just about every big coaching job that comes open. It’s a hot topic. I expect a response from Jasper this week as well. Coaches apply for different jobs over the years for various reasons. It’s no secret.
  12. Tomorrow marks ten days since my request, but I’m expected it to be delayed until Tuesday.
  13. Jeff Joseph is the Joseph they're talking about. Son of Katy's Gary Joseph. He's currently at Southlake Carroll. Former Austin Westlake Defensive Coordinator. Left there to become a graduate assistant at Texas A&M before becoming the defensive coordinator at Magnolia West. Left coaching and was the VP of Big Kat Waste Solutions. It's his first year at SLC I believe.
  14. The names will come out. I usually file a request once the job closes or 10-15 days after the job is posted. They have ten days to respond with the request. Districts are known to drag this out longer than ten days though. About to send off Jasper and will file for PNG Friday.
  15. I was told PNG had Jasper, Beaumont United and Goose Creek on the schedule. If GCM isn’t available due to a large district, WOS could take their place. None of that is official by any means though.
  16. I’m just posting information on some names people I’ve heard talk about here and there.
