I think football and other extra curricular activities are necessary simply for fun and interest in school. There need to be enjoyable interest in school. If we just focus on the three Rs students lose interest in school.   Budget cuts in those areas should probably be done but can be done without eliminating programs.

From the very beginning I felt he was more concerned about being accepted worldwide rather than here in the US. He has tried to bridged the global gap expecting respect for his efforts. The respect has not been earned or received.

The man that relies solely on rational without considering feelings is irrational. Feelings are real and weigh heavy in reality. The what she tells me anyway. :P

I have quit reading most of the political posts all together. This is the first one in a while. Way too much repetitive disrespect on both sides of the political fence.   On the plus side; it has kept the locker room less cluttered.

I have a hard time understanding people that want a drug dealer release for dealing drugs.

Of course we're different. I don't think you can use the CEO or president as a president.   I do know that any man who tries to convince a woman he is smarter is definitely not smarter. :)

There's only one way to end up in a better place once you die and it is dependent on you accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior while you're here. We don't know his state but I would hope he made that choice.   Depression and mental illness is a tough thing. The news was reporting the day after his suicide was the highest volume of calls on record for the national suicide hotline.

I agree but liberal leaders can't bear the whole burden of fault. Many of our "conservative" leaders are playing a role too.   Our country is too screwed up for man alone to fix, either party.

I think they are pretty hard to beat but they are not admissible in court so they're not perfect.

My grandmother would make me go find my own branch, sit on the steps and pluck the leaves off. Then she'd tell me that one wasn't big enough and make me find a bigger one and pluck the leaves off again. After repeating this a few times she never did use the switch. Her intimidation/manipulation worked for some time.
