  1. I kept expecting Kimbo to tap out due to a belly smuther maneuver
  2. I agree with both of you. He does have a good attitude and personality but I was not impressed with either of them. Roy looked sloppy and limited. Kimbo looked like he had the potential for a good stand up but looked to reserved.
  3. Every game Friday night was extremely close and I expect the rest of the season going down to the wire. The refs are going to catch heck this season with such close games. They're going to get the blame for many close losses.
  4. The HS was not annexed because there was no revenue to benefit the city.
  5. Crouch interviewed this morning on KOGT and said most were healthy.
  6. Eighteen pages and counting... I'm ashamed to say I've read every post (much of them stupid). Train wreck is correct.
  7. I heard they got off to really good start but bombed this last game with a dozen or so out sick
  8. Well Dog, I read all of last weeks jabbing between you, Gas and others and personally thought they were kind of unfairly ganging up on you. This week I see where you came to a WOS thread looking for Gas to throw personal insults and looking for heated confrontation. What's wrong, your visits to Nederland threads are not very fullfilling? I stand corrected in my opinion last week.
  9. Vitor Belfort vs. Rich Franklin Junior Dos Santos vs. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic Martin Kampmann vs. Paul Daley ---- Swick is hurt & replaced by Daley Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg Hermes Franca vs. Tyson Griffin PRELIMINARY CARD (Aired on Spike TV) Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller Tomasz Drwal vs. Drew McFedries PRELIMINARY CARD (Un-Aired) Nick Lentz vs. Rafaello Oliveira Rick Story vs. Brian Foster Steve Lopez vs. Jim Miller Jason Brilz vs. Eliot Marshall Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Igor Pokrajac Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rob Emerson
  10. Bears\Crouch showing some class taking a knee at the end in their first win when they could have probably scored. Congrats on the first of many many wins BC should be OK in 3A
  11. Many schools recruit a kicker from the socker team. Oh wait,,,,
  12. Heading into the fourth game of the season it doesn't seem the penalty problem has improved for WOS since Nederland. And it is true, they never have a good kicking game (band affected or not) We tend to forget WOS has a first year OC. I'm sure there's still a lot to learn from the athletes to the coaching. We all know WOS has great talent, just have to put the rubber to the pavement so to speak. Congrats to both teams for a hard fought game.
  13. 14. I-10 east to Orange take 16th st exit. turn left at 16th st/HWY 87 (same street) Just a few miles north on 87. School on left
  15. After this game Crouch probably saw two of the same things I did. Two keys to keeping it close will be to limit turnovers and penalties. With out the Nederland turnovers it would have been closer and WOS had a lot penalties. With the coaching history I'm going give Crouch enough credit to not play into the WOS expected game plan. It could be close.
  16. Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva Chris Leben vs. Jake Rosholt Demian Maia vs. Nate Marquardt Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brandon Vera PRELIMINARY CARD Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson --- Fighter announced Justin McCully vs. Mike Russow Todd Duffee vs. Tim Hague Nick Catone vs. Mark Munoz Evan Dunham vs. Matt Veach
  17. First, I was wondering why LCM would take on such tough scrimmage opponent. I thought they should have taken on someone easier. What the heck do I know. Great job LCM!!

  19. I agree with you completely. 9-1 (a district loss) ;D
  20. Venom You keep referring to Fedor as the best PFP fighter in the world (and he may be) but much of that title is based on opinion which, as you stated, only means so much. I think Silva has stepped up and could hold a claim to that title. He has dominated his division, stepped up and annihilated a quality light heavy weight and may be willing to give up his belt and move up to take on the rest of the division to prove how good he is. He's willing to fight the best in the world and go after them, not just sit back and say I'm the best and expect that respect. Seems like that's how you earn #1 PFP ranking in the world. JMO I was one of those that was questioning his position,,, but not any more.
  21. This could be a huge thing for MMA. If pursued, promoted and marketed right (and I'm sure Dana will) this could be one of the thinks to boost the sport to where fans and Dana want it to be. This can repair the damage that Lesnor did for those who were completely turned off to the sport by his antics, (they want to see him beat) or it will draw even closer those that were intrigued by his antics even if they didn't approve. It's a win win. Fedor can sit back and call the shots because he IS the big draw in this whole deal. He'll end up the highest paid fighter in MMA history with a modified contract to suit his wants. This will ultimately result in bigger paydays for other fighters too. Win Win
