  1. Sorry the changed the lineup Corsicana High School Wednesday Arp vs Franklin 6:30 Sabine vs Hearne 8:00 Nice double header
  2. I can assure you the team is focused on Hearne. I can't comment on another game if my team is not playing in it? Speed kills in football but in basketball you can have all the speed in the world but still have to be able to put the ball in the basket. Kountze has a lot of tradition and won't been an easy out! IMO (if that is still allowed on here) lol BTW Sabine has played in district in 3A with the likes of Gilmer every year for a long time. Last 2 years we split with them and they have incredible "speed" every year. You are definitely right sabine u do have to put in in the hole. Where is the game with Hearne? Sabine vs Hearne Wed 7:30 Kerens High School
  3. 2A Out #4 Krum #5 Brock #8 Floydada #11 Little River Academy #14 SA Cole #19 Kermit Quarterfinal matchups between 2 ranked teams #6 Sabine vs #20 Hearne #12 Hallettsville vs #17 Jarrell
  4. Pleasant Grove team is really good too. If they meet in the regional final it will be a great game!
  5. Bracket looks like it has pretty much went as scripted. WO/Arp game could have went either way. Shelbyville is the 3rd place team but the Houston private school district was horrendous. I saw Franklin before our game defeat Jefferson and they are a well rounded solid team. No "easy" games left (except maybe Newton game). Now you have to bring it every night or go home! Looks like any of the 8 teams left would make for a great regional tournament.

Isn't set definitely but looks like probably Palestine Wednesday! I don't think the coaches have been able to get a hold of each other this weekend.

  8. Should be a great game. NW better have gotten the rust out or Kountze may take it to them!
  9. Full court pressure from tip to buzzer. They will push the ball at every opportunity. An Woodville?
  10. They have a solid senior laden team. Scrappy with pressure. I assume Woodville plays the same style?
  11. Good luck with Brook Hill they are from our neck of the woods and have some good players. They have a big kid that is a load inside and chappell kid is a very good around player. Keep the game as slow as possible would be my suggestion.
  12. Anyone interested in traveling for a warm up classic there are ones in Royce City, Tyler and Burleson (Ft Worth). Sabine will be traveling to Burleson but not sure of the matchup yet because a lot of districts are still undecided. I think the Ponder/Krum friday night game will clear up the matchups. I know Argle, Burkburnett, Dallas Madison are playing in it from 3A ranks and a lot of highly ranked 2A teams.
  13. Pressure usually doesn't bother them. They had some breakdowns against HJ in the first game they played them usually after they broke the press (like their leading scorer not touching the ball for 9 minutes of the game lol) but those things have been corrected. Once it is a half court shooting game Sabine has the advantage. Too many shooters and matchup problems for most teams. I hope we get to play Kountze it would be a great regional game!
  14. Hearne beat Franklin @ Franklin on Tuesday and lead the district. White Oak beat Arp 15 right before district started. I expect they will take that sub region if they go #2 seed. Other than that the list looks good! Regionals Qualifier (other challengers) WO (Arp or Franklin) Sabine (Hearne) New Waverly (#1 from Kountz/Anahuac district) Toss up Either Newton or whoever goes the #2 seed from Kountze/Anahuac district
  15. Wrong about a few things highlighted:
  16. Region 1 Burkburnett Region 2 Pleasant Grove Region 3 HJ Region 4 SA Houston
  17. Sabine is shooting 39% for the year from 3's with one kid at 45%. They are one of the better 3 point shooting teams around. Be really happy if you can shoot 35-40% 3's because that is the same as shooting 60% from 2's. Example for the slow ones lols 6 for 10 from 2= 12 points 60% 4 for 10 from 3= 12 points 40% Point is if you are rely on 60% shooting from 3 to win you will probably be disappointed. You better shoot them in volume!
  18. Only "6 of 10 from 3 pt land"? Why didn't you just say make eveyone of them? lol
  19. Sabine 50 White Oak 24 Sabine nailed 7 3's in the 1st quarter and coasted to the victory holding White Oak to 14 points for 3 quarters. Record goes to 18-3 Tournament MVP Noah Jackson Sabine
  20. Sabine beat 3A Gladewater and White Oak beat highly touted 3A Pleasant Grove to reach the finals of the 6 game tourney. Tonight Sabine will play their 13 game in 10 days and I hope we have something left in the tank. White Oak started the year ranked 6th in 2A and already have beaten 2A regional contenders Arp and Jefferson. Sabine is currently ranked #5 in 2A and are 17-3 with only 3 loses at HJ tourney. Round 1 of what looks like could be many between the bitter district foes. Nothing like a little preview of district to get your blood flowing. Should be a good one!!!!
  21. Gladewater Sabine 58 4a Mabank 53 Mabank came into the game with a 7-1 record with the one loss a close one to highly 3A ranked Dallas Madison.
