Good thing I never mentioned dictating feelings. All I said was that there is almost no way that someone saw that video and went, OMG! A guy was lyched there 100 years ago. That would mean that someone was actively looking at different aspects of the video and doing a Google searches to try to find a reason to be offended.

Bob was at the top of his chosen profession. To a lot of extent, he is from a passing era in sports writing. Few sportswriters and editors have had the excellent longevity and following of Bob West. How many people work for a single newspaper for almost 5 decades? He called ‘em like he saw ‘em. A few times I definitely would not agree on his perspective on an issue or player but the proof of his skill was that I always came back to read what he had to say on his next article. He definitely has left a legacy of events that he has been involved with from roasts, to celebrity golf events, to contests and I believe that he was instrumental in creating and bringing the Bum Phillips Trophy to Mid-County Madness which I think was thought up by members of his staff. I had spoken to West on a couple of occasions, mostly from working security at events. I have known his wife Genie for probably about 40 years from her work as a nurse at St. Mary Hospital and me being a police officer. The likes of Bob West don’t come along often in a lifetime. Condolences to his family and friends.

That again, is reaching for an answer. Who watched that video for the first time and immediately said, oh my gosh, that is a courthouse where a person was lynched 100 years ago. Likely no one Who would recognize it? Probably a better question would be, who did the research to find something in the video to be offended by? Why would anyone try to google something in the background in a song? Was this courthouse some well known symbol of racism? If so, why was Hannah Montana mostly filmed not only in that city, Columbia, TN, but at least one scene shot at the very same courthouse? Maybe Mikey Cyrus was pushing a hidden agenda on racism in front of that apparently well known symbol of hate…. that no one would recognize unless they were told to do so. If a person are looking for that nail, he will find it. Not that I would expect most people to view this 34 minute clip from Candace Owens. If a person is so inclined, scroll to the 8 minute mark and see Hannah Montana coming out of the same courthouse. Then go to around the 15 minute mark and look at some of the lyrics of current top 40 music.

That is ridiculous. It is the rationalization of the left. “They must be doing this because…..”. Trump supporters like what he does. Almost no Trump supporters likes the way he acts or who he supports.

You’re equating a desire to have a winning ticket with love. There are no conservatives that think JFKjr is their answer other than an election. If people could look into a crystal ball and see that Trump was going to win no matter if he picked DeSantis, JFKjr, Ramaswamy, Cruz or Scott…. JFKjr would would almost certainly be last on the list. If the crystal ball said that Trump could only win with JFKjr, guess who conservatives are going to pick?

There is no love for JFKjr. There is am appreciation for a reasonable Democrat for a change and after a long wait. Maybe it’s not so much if an appreciation as it is a shock. That if the confusing part for the Democrats. They are mistaking “he isn’t such a bad guy” with, “will Trump allow us to like him”. Feel free to point out any conservative that is willing to vote for him over the Republican nominee to be named later.

He is still a liberal with liberal beliefs. Would he be the best Democrat in the last 20 years? Without a doubt…. but we haven’t seen a full blown campaign yet. Maybe if the GOP lost in 2024 to Kennedy, we could get back to mainly arguing over how much money to split between welfare programs and the defense budget. By far and away however, I think the Republican candidate on the ballot will be a better option. JFKjr at this point seems like a much more acceptable leader than Biden, Harris and their likes.

We need to pass a law that vegetables grow themselves and come to our pantries automatically, houses of our choosing spring up instantly and there are never any bills to pay. We can dream about anything but then there is dreaming about what has the potential of actually happening. The idea of first generation, naturalized citizens, being banned from office will never have the support needed to pass into law, if it is even constitutional. But let’s go beyond that speculation. Arnold Schwarzenegger won the governorship of California as a Republican but is a naturalized citizen. Winsome Sears, a Black woman naturalized citizen from Jamaica, recently won as Lieutenant Governor in Virginia as a Republican. She is the first female to be the Lieutenant Governor and the first Black woman of any party to hold statewide office in Virginia. Sears who came to this country as an immigrant child went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp and is a hardcore conservative. Should these people (especially the likes of Winsome Sears) be excluded because of people like Pramila Jayapal and Ilhan Omar? I wouldn’t trade Winsome Sears in a 2 for 10 deal.

According to the article: ”Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., calling Israel a "racist state" over the weekend”. So Israel, who are people of Middle Eastern descent, are racist because they don’t like being killed by Arabs and other Muslims, who are people of Middle Eastern descent? I wonder if the thinks that of the Arab and/or predominantly Muslim countries in the same region, who will have a person executed for blasphemy due to a difference in religion? Does Israel have such laws? No, I didn’t think so. It’s not that selective outrage is stupid, which it is. It’s the sheer stupidity of Israel saying that we don’t like you killing us due to our religion while ignoring the other side saying, we will kill you over religion, which what causes Israel to not like them. Don’t forget that the Vaccine was announced and given for the first time four weeks before Trump left office. Maybe some people’s memories are short or TDS takes over. Trump wasn’t the president when the data started piling up on the vaccine, he wasn’t the president when many in the military were discharged for refusal, he wasn’t the president who ordered OSHA to mandate that private companies order vaccinations under their authority, later overturned by the Supreme Court as an unconstitutional mandate. Trump announced the vaccine had been developed… and it had, and then left office. The damage came under the Biden administration.
