  1. If anyone wants to watch the story about Allison Clark’s murder, I believe the entire thing is on YouTube. Paula Zahn did a story on it which was on TV about a year or so ago. I believe it has three or four Port Arthur PD detectives that worked on the case. I was with them in their office when they did a lot of it and they went as far as driving to Texarkana to follow up on leads.
  2. That wasn’t a random bullet though. That was an armed robbery.
  3. I am not surprised. I am surprised that it took only 6 months.
  4. And WOS……
  5. I was agreeing with you but using your post to try to show how really narrow life can be.
  6. 1. Some of those “facts” are very selective to try and make a point. It is like a person going into an investigative report but knowing the conclusion before he starts. He runs test, asks questions or whatever to get the correct response to fit the narrative. 2. The flu disappearing is one of the most lame excuses to try to discredit the seriousness of Covid. It is absolutely true that the majority of people that get Covid will recover fairly easily. It is still a very easily transmitted version of a Corona Virus (of which influenza is also) and more deadly, even if it is more deadly by sheer numbers.
  7. A second? I talk about timing all the time particularly and did so particularly when I was working. A car going 60 miles an hour goes approximately 90 feet a second. In 1/10 of one second her vehicle went about 9 feet. If she would have entered that space and 1/10 of a second earlier or 1/10 of a second later, she would’ve never been hit. When people get in a car accident and the other person ran a stop sign but maybe hit the back passenger door where no one was at, they will say something like, I was in a bad wreck but I did not get hurt or maybe got a couple of bruises. Yeah…… but if you had entered that intersection 1/30 of second earlier, we would be calling you a ride to the morgue. Life is literally that close in time.
  8. Yep. TC’s defensive line control the game, period. Changing the running back would not have mattered. You still have to have a lane to run through. A different runner might have gotten a few more yards but would not have been a game changer. Nederland came into the game probably averaging over 300 yards a game. Their offensive line simply did not match up with Texas City. After the rain shortened WOS game they are averaging 38 in the 4 game before TC. Even with the defensive shutout by TC, Nederland is still averaging 30 points a game in the last five games. I’m not sure why some people have a hard time saying that we just ran into a tougher team on that night and move on. I never predict high school football games. For all I know a Dayton might win 68-0 but I wouldn’t take much from the Texas City game. In their last five games they’ve given up 10 points on defense.
  9. Intercepted at Nederland 30
  10. Punt to Nederland who gets the ball at own 26
  11. TC has 4-1 from Nederland 48. They try to draw Nederland off sides, then TC calls time out.
  12. On 4-20, pass incomplete and ball over on downs to TC 2:21, TC 14-2
  13. TC punts on 4-19 from TC 45 Nederland ball at 27
  14. Nederland punts on 4-17. Touchback.
  15. End of 3, TC 14-2
  16. Now 4-10 punt is returned to TC 43 TC 14-2
  17. TC has 4–15 and punt is blocked for touchdown but Nederland called for offsides
  18. The refs have totally blown a couple of calls but the Texas City defensive line is controlling the game.
  19. Nederland has 4-9. TC gets the ball on a turnover on downs from the 11
  20. Catch and run by Fuselier to TC 4
  21. 7:07 in 3, TC 14-2
  22. 4-8, TC punts and Nederland returns it to TC 42
  23. Pass intercepted at TC 5. 1-10 from there
  24. 4-8 punt to Nederland 42. 1-10 Nederland TC 14-2
