This was Jasper's district to win from the beginning. Center will be 2nd and 3rd will come down to Diboll and Kirbyville.

Kirbyville is very down this year but could be good enough to beat Huntington and Diboll, which would put them in playoffs.

Dibolls losses have been to very good teams, but their win last night against Shepherd was not impressive at all. Shepherd is terrible, lost to Bridge City 61-3, lost to 2A Woodville 32-19 (Woodville's only win this season). Diboll only beating Shepherd by 7, 33-26, really does not bode well for the Lumberjacks.
I agree, Diboll was up 26-0 late in the 3rd then they started making costly mistakes and getting lazy. It seems like Diboll is having second half conditioning issues. They have had a chance to win every game they've been in, but ran out of gas in the 4th. Athens scored 20 in the last 5 minutes of the game last week. Diboll has good size on both sides of the ball, but that does'nt help if they are not in game shape. Hopefully this will be fixed by district. Diboll's starting Qb should also be back from injury for the start of district play.
2. I see it the same.

Jasper
Center
Kville

Diboll,s three losses were to 3 teams that will likely have good playoff runs (Tatum, Corrigan, Athens), so I would'nt count them out. They are not that bad, but I don't think Rb Taylor can beat Jasper, Center, or Kville by his self like he did Shepherd.

Everyone has had a pretty tough predistrict schedule, so it will be interesting to see who carries the positives into district play.
3. Diboll gave up 14 quick points off turnovers on their side of the field. Other than that, Tatum's offense had a hard time moving the ball. Diboll had a couple of good scoring opportunities but failed to convert. Turned out to be a good game.

Diboll plays Corrigan next week. Corrigan just beat a Woodville team that Diboll struggled with in their last scrimmage, so next week will be interesting. Diboll won last year's renewal of the rivalry, so im sure Corrigan is looking to even the score.
4. Great game....not much D, but great game. Good job Jacks!!!! Still no love for the Jacks from Hubbard on the OT show. The dust has'nt cleared and Hubbard already saying Athens will blow Diboll out. How about giving a fellow East Texas team the benefit of the doubt. Diboll did play them close in week 3. Jasper has good things to come!!

No DAWG houses here, I would never do that...

And I saw Diboll against Rusk, Dolemite, and they looked terrible then too...

Diboll will not beat Jasper because they can't hold on to the football...

Yep, played pretty bad that night. I'm just saying after the bye, they played better football.

If the team that played Center tough shows up, it'll be a good game.

It is not even close.... Jasper should beat Diboll by three TD's, and this is from someone who has seen both teams play in the last few weeks...

Diboll is terrible...
Against Kville, yeah they where terrible. Against Center and Huntington, not really.

Jasper has the perfect recipe to beat Diboll...Run,Run,Run. Diboll took quit a beating last week, giving up tons of rush yards. The Diboll coaches will have to pick these kids up this week to get them ready for a Jasper team that will come out fast, after having a week of rest.

Did anyone else see the guy in the maroon jacket waiting in the endzone after the game? Wondered if he was a scout.

Yes, Texas A&M where there looking at both Ford and Diboll's Taylor. I'm sure Fords performance increased their intrest in him, while Taylor put the ball on the ground too much. Taylor is only a Jr. so he'll have another full year to impress the scouts.
8. Very sloppy game on both sides. Diboll's rb Terrence Taylor ( despite his 2 uncommon fumbles ) looked great. Both defenses where bad, but Dibolls was the worst of the two. If Shepherd holds on to the football, they probably win this game. So basically, if Diboll does'nt find some help on offense for Taylor and find atleast a little defense they have no shot at the playoffs. Shepherd needs to learn to hold on to the football and also find a defense or no shot for them either.
