1. From what I read:

    Rusk 4 scores

    Diboll 0

Only the first scrimmage of the season, but Diboll obviously has a lot to work on. This score does not suprise me because Rusk is supposed to be pretty good this season, and Diboll will have to rework their playbook after loosing Terrence Taylor. For as long as I can remember, Diboll has always fielded a stud running back like Terrence Taylor or Ketaurus Stanton, but this season nobody has come in to fill those shoes. This to me will be bad for this season but good for the future of the program. Diboll will finally be forced to widen their playbook and quit trying to just feeding their stud Rb. Hopefully they will incorporate the regular use of a recieving TE back in the offense. I do know that if my Lumberjacks expect to challenge for a playoff spot this year, it will take a complete team effort. You can do it Jacks!!

I'm from Rusk, so I have a little insight, although I haven't seen them in person this year....

Rusk has a few offensive weapons who are capable of breaking the big play.... #5 Chaston Bennett is the real deal.... Small back, but very quick and shifty....

Rusk defensively has had their issues at times, but when you look at who they have played, you can see how they have given up so many points at times.... They shut out Diboll 53-0 if that gives you a point of reference....
Rusk also was the only team all year to hold Terrence Taylor under a hundred yards. I was very impressed with the speed of the Rusk D. Your right, #5 is freakin quick and very dangerous if he gets past the line of scrimmage.

Good Luck Diboll...as long as Lil' Will is on the field we are good.... it takes about 5 guys to get him down.....Lets go Cats!!! ;D ;D

That's whats got me worried. We have been guilty of trying to arm tackle. That just will not bring a good back down. Should be a great game. Good luck to you guys!!

That may be true but they beat Center 28-27...Played Huntington last night (i'm assuming they won) Looks like to me they are 2-0 in district...

Everytime Hub posts about Diboll it always includes words like bad, down, weak, or terrible. I don't know, maybe it's something personal. I bet he hasn't even seen Diboll play. Truth is Diboll is an average team with some good athletes that are still trying to reach their full potential under a first year head coach. So far I think they have done a great job getting to 2-0 in district. Diboll has had to really lean on their Rb do to an inconsistent passing game, but even with the whole stadium knowing he's getting the ball, he still racks up decent yardage. The Jacks have had one bad outing this season against Rusk, so I don't think that puts them in the TRBL category.

As for the game, Kirbyville always gives Diboll trouble. Diboll forced turnovers to beat Center, and they will need the same against Kville. I think this will be a back and forth game unless Kville shuts down Taylor.
