Wonder why the Brenham offense did NOTHING in the first half then made the comeback in the 2nd.
So basically your saying we won cause yall didn't have yall's anchor??? We also had to shutdown your offense did you QB or RB get hurt too? Nah. Didn't think so.
Yah-actually our Mr do it all QB/RB Payton Ploch did get hurt and saw limited time in the 2nd half and when he did get to play he was in excruciating pain . But like you said before- injuries are part of the game and to take nothing away from Brenham they played a heck of a game and earned the win ! :)

Brenham showed they weren't invincible when Stratford got done with them ! I know there's all that stuff about laying an egg and were the best second half team in the State yada, yada, yada. I really don't know how good unranked Stratford is but they did everyone a favor and exposed some weak spots in Brenham's game. Brenham is still the #1 team to beat in Reg 3 with a big target on their back, while Dayton on the other hand is getting dissed for their 3 loses they will be loose and ready to rumble ! LETS GET IT ON-nnn ! ( in my best UFC pre-fight voice ) ;)

I'm sure Crosby will bring in the portable bleachers and set up in the end zone's like they did several years ago when Dayton played them in the playoffs .
I've noticed that Xavier Baldwin has been making some pretty big open field hits/tackles from the secondary the past few games. Good job making hard nosed football plays.
Yeah- The X-man is one of the most versatile players in the district and he has been doing it for 3 years now on a varsity level it's nice to have an X- factor in the equation ! - Go Bronco's this is your year bring it home !
I think he threw the shot put against my son last year. If he's the one I'm thinking of, he wasn't very good in that either. He would have been a Junior last year, my son was a Freshman and beat him pretty bad.
#14 wasn't very big,but never the less was good he played both ways RB and Safety. Now #89 I had a bigger problem with him ! -

DAYTONS Cody Green starting 4 Nebraska
Martinez is a blur, no doubt. But that's it. I said from the beginning of this season that as soon as the other teams figure out how to stop that zone read, or he gets hit by one of the big boys, that scheme will be ancient history. Looks like it already starting lose its effectiveness. Martinez couldn't go anywhere against the bigger faster defenses such as Texas. Cody still has a ways to go. But he needs playing time. He's improved alot already just with the time he's got. Seems to me you would want the bigger, stronger QB who can pass and run, being groomed to be the #1 guy for the full three years. Just think where Cody could be if he'd been starting the whole season. I understand the Nebraska coaches are trying to win a championship now and not two years from now, and Martinez gives them another weapon out of the backfield. I guess they made their decision. At some point though, in the big game against against a real defense, Martinez won't be able to run or get hurt (again), or both. Then what. Zach Lee? A rusty, inexpierenced Cody Green? Just my two cents.
Good post ! Not overly impressed with Nebraska's coach he disrespected him by not giving him a chance to score in the red zone and it backfired on him . Then after the game a reporter ask about Cody and all he could say was how they were down to the 3rd string QB and gave zero credit to Cody . -
Angleton by 7 haven't seen Dawson... so purely a gut hunch.
Haven't seen either team - Angleton is the only game I missed this year - still mad at my daughter for that one - if I would of been there we more than likely would of won :D I think if Angleton play's to there potential they win easy enough !
I'm not big on the Massey ratings either it's just fun to look at. I was mainly looking at the schedule of Livingston and how many points they have given up this year. If this turns into a track meet Livingston won't be able to keep up.
I hear ya - Massey ratings are fun to mess with and I do tend to believe them more when they favor our team ! :) ;) :D -
I don't know why yall think Livingston is a slow team. Actually, I think If it's a track meet, Livingston will win. If yall (Dayton) come out with a good defensive gameplan, yall will win. Hopefully yall have big D-Linemen that will be able to get penetration on the Livingston O-Line and cause problems in the Livingston backfield...
We do and we will ! and nobody said Livingston was slow - -

I don't put much validity in a Massey ratting . I know Livingston will bring it to us and I'm anxious to see how our D stacks up against a very good running team . I do know one thing for sure if the Lion's hick-up our offense will explode all over the place ! -
I agree on that #14 should have been sent to the showers... Ok someone said over there in the BH/Crosby game thread that if a player is ejected from the game UIL states that they can't play for the next 2 games... Or someone said that they were 99.99% sure that is correct.. Does anyone know for sure?
Who got ejectected for Dayton ? -
I agree Liltex #14 was really showing his true colors. # 89 should be kicked out of school for what he did. Did anyone else see him kick Chambers in the nads? Talk about a low blow. While he was down at that! We might as well been playing the prison team from the Longest Yard movie!
Yeah - I watched him do that after the play and then after he kicked him he punched him for good measure and walked off slapping his chest like he did something - all the while Chamber's was on the ground - can you say animal - -

Theres only one stat that matters to Dayton and thats in the Win column ! You Bh-ers can roll all those other stats up inside one of smoken babies fatties and toke on it for the rest of the season maybe it will help ease the humiliation you get when you play Dayton. Just remember "Whose ya Daddy " hint - Dayton ! ;)

Some of the young people I deal with today are some of the brightest and work their tail off.
Are any of them your boss, just wondering?
Dang....where you live thats so bad? ;D I guess you can say they are my boss. They run businesses, entrepreneurs, plumbers, contractors, and tech people, all under 35, making payrolls.
Good luck my friend. they will put you out to pasture before you want to. The kids of the 60's and 70's were not so bad. Puff the magic dragon, they do now believe me.
I always tell my wife when we retire (if thats possible ) we will have to put bars on the windows and doors to keep this present "I want it now" generation from stealing us blind !

Then you need to move to the other side of the river where our kids expect better than what we've got. ;)
Other side of the river, like that makes a difference. Your kids are better? That remains to be seen. Kids are the same no matter what side of the river they are on. Stupid post.
Back atcha Bud---you missed the point. Lighten up. I ain't stupid and you offended me---I got feelings you know---I need a moderator and now. ;)
Don't care if I offended you. ;D ;D
As a parent, I accepted the responsibility of shaping and molding my kids to become members of a productive society. I have high expectations of them and lots of confidence along with it. It would be foolish of me to say that the kids of today are lazy and non-productive when I have had a hand in this. BTW--I do not need to say where my kids are, but they do not in any form or fashion fit the description that some parents describe of the kids today. All three of my kids are on a much better pace than i ever dreamed of. I also have witnessed many of their friends on the same pathways to success. Now if you have a problems with kids today and have not contributed anything towards this then I can understand your insecure feeling. But I will go to sleep tonight comfortably knowing that some day, my kids will have the unfortunate responsibility to make descisions on my behalf and that they will do the right thing. I regret that you seem to not have that same feeling. The fact that you say you dont care---perhaps is the root of your negativiety in todays youthful society.
Its not your kids I'm worried about and I commend you and other parents like you for a job well done ! ,but if you think the world is better off today than when you were a kid then you are truly in denial . I'm not a doomsayer but its obvious to me that society has taken a wrong turn so I'm going to prepare for the worst and hope for the best ! ;)
Right on! I actually have a Dayton T-Shirt somewhere lol. I have a Hardin Hornet shirt too lol. I can't hate on Dayton, I love that place. I remember eating at the Branding Iron and Los Compadres when I was there. Are those places still around?
Yeah - The Branding Iron and Los Compadres are still here ! Glad you mentioned Payton Ploch he was one the most intense hard nose players Dayton has had for some time . You always got your money's worth when he stepped out on the field ~
