  1. You were the one that questioned when was the last time wos made it past the 3rd round. I was just informing you. And what happened in 2010? Yall got murdered! We can talk about the past all we want but its all about the present. Our "weak" district is 3-1 in the playoffs right now while yalls, not so much. Yall have mediocre wins over terrible teams and think yall are the lamarque of the 90s smh
  2. it was a back and fourth until the 4th qtr. LM could stop gray and they couldn't stop LM rb. BACK AND FOURTH TILL THE 4TH..."LOOK IT UP".

last time LM went to state 10...from early 90's up till now 6 rings. now minus katy, how many schools in the greater Houston, triangle included can say they done that?? not the pony boys...catching that Nederland syndrome I see. 4th rd in wos state championship lol.

HF brakes should work fine now...they got beat off and fixed. the playoff run STOPPED. LOL

Actually no 4th round isnt quite a state title. But that is further than lamarque has sniffed in how many years? Exactly. You must be a cowboys fan also, living in those past titles.
  3. YAWN.... #1 wos is FAAARRRR from the team 18-17 years ago...matter of fact when was the last time wos made it past 3 rds?? made it to state??? awww... this mouse just silenced you. don't see how LM "struggled" with HF...the game was over in the third qtr. at one point, the game was about to get out of control at 20-7 LM. besides, who really cares...LM going to rd two...props to king. that kid is the truth. also props to a LM defense who see more spread than option teams. way to adjust.

Past 3 rounds? Wos has been to the 4th round 3 years in a row losing to the eventual state champs the last 2 and state finalist the year before. When is the last time lamarque got to round 4? 2011?

    WO-S just got a jewel

Johnny Shaw (Center DB/UT Commit) transferred to WO-S today.

Yep. Anything helps after losing so many to graduation. Gonna need some youngsters to step up on the D-line and the linebacker positions.

Looks like from the box score WO-S had a tough time with Orangefield giving up 211 rushing yards to ORANGEFIELD??? While the WO-S offence managed to gain a whopping 211 total yards and only 1 offensive TD. IDK but that better not be the same team if they do end up playing CS. Im not trying to sound arrogant, Im just looking at the numbers of a common opponet. CS rushed for 375 and only gave up a total of 94 to the mighty Bobcats. Maybe WO-S just had a off night? Maybe Orangefield played way above their ability? Or was there some injury I am not aware off. Please correct me if I have any of my info is incorrect. Good luck to all the kids and looking forward to the rest of the playoffs. Please pardon any spelling or typing errors, after all I am from Coldspring.  8)

Actually at that time wos was pretty banged up. 4 defensive starters were healing up from knee injuries. Starting rb Lindsey was also battling an ankle injury. And if you have actually been following wos, you would know that the wos offense didn't start clicking until the second half of the silsbee game. Let's just say the wos oc hasn't been the most consistent play caller up until these last few games.

Actually I haven't followed WO-S very much this year but we all know how tough yall are year after year. Glad yall are healthy now. Hopefully in a couple weeks everyone will get to see a great Coldspring-WO-S quarter final game.

This is what I am hoping for also. Win or lose it is gonna be a war! Hopefully both teams will keep winning and stay healthy until then. Good luck to ya'll the rest of the way.

  7. As an UNBIASED opinion, I came to watch this game expecting a total blowout with all of the hype about coldspring. My personal opinions of this game:

    1) B.C came to play. They were not one bit intimidated of Coldspring.

    2) The B.C defense played a heckuva game. Yes Coldspring pitched a shutout but B.C was ONE play away from having one of their own to a quote unquote unstoppable offense.

    3) The cards had 4 turnovers opposed to coldsprings 0. You can't turn the ball over that many times in the playoffs especially to a team of coldsprings caliber.

    4) As I said before I came to this game expecting to witness a total blowout because of all the "hype" of coldspring. Which all I witnessed was the "hype" being well, just "HYPE". Dont get me wrong Cs has a good team. They have many athletes on the field. Number 1 has some serious wheels, but tonight showed that when playing a decent team, they can be beat. The offensive juggernauts were held to only 7. Say what you want, but in my book coldspring looks very beatable.

The stangs offense has not been consistent this season so I wouldn't be surprised to see the offensive starters play more than most expect. Hopefully they can carry the momentum from the silsbee game into the first few drives of this game to get some early points on the board so that some of the younger players can get some pt. I'd honestly like to see the back up qb Rutledge get in the game. Defensively I think that the stangs will have more back ups in than the offense. Most of our injuries have been with the defense so this gives them a chance to heal up for the play offs.

Should be able to rest a few players.I would sure limit Lindsey's time. The way he runs he's prone to injuries. As for as the offense they still need all the snaps they can get imo.

I agree, we have enough backs to do the job. Hopefully the rest of the offense is still playing like they did the second half in Silsbee so we can rest more starters. An injury now would not be good at this point.
