1.
WO-S just got a jewel Johnny Shaw (Center DB/UT Commit) transferred to WO-S today.
Yep. Anything helps after losing so many to graduation. Gonna need some youngsters to step up on the D-line and the linebacker positions.
 2. Hes gonna be a good one. Came in late in a game I believe in a playoff game last season and threw a 77yd td on the first play he was in. The kid definitely has an arm.
 3. From what I understand he was released the same day. Classified it as a stinger. But they say he has to be cleared by a neurologist before he can play. So he may play or may not depending on if he can see a neurologist before friday.
 4. After this last game, I see Coldspring coming back strong. 28-7 Cs.

While the WO-S offence managed to gain a whopping 211 total yards and only 1 offensive TD. IDK but that better not be the same team if they do end up playing CS. Im not trying to sound arrogant, Im just looking at the numbers of a common opponet. CS rushed for 375 and only gave up a total of 94 to the mighty Bobcats. Maybe WO-S just had a off night? Maybe Orangefield played way above their ability? Or was there some injury I am not aware off. Please correct me if I have any of my info is incorrect. Good luck to all the kids and looking forward to the rest of the playoffs. Please pardon any spelling or typing errors, after all I am from Coldspring.  8)
Actually at that time wos was pretty banged up. 4 defensive starters were healing up from knee injuries. Starting rb Lindsey was also battling an ankle injury. And if you have actually been following wos, you would know that the wos offense didn't start clicking until the second half of the silsbee game. Let's just say the wos oc hasn't been the most consistent play caller up until these last few games.
Actually I haven't followed WO-S very much this year but we all know how tough yall are year after year. Glad yall are healthy now. Hopefully in a couple weeks everyone will get to see a great Coldspring-WO-S quarter final game.
This is what I am hoping for also. Win or lose it is gonna be a war! Hopefully both teams will keep winning and stay healthy until then. Good luck to ya'll the rest of the way.

 7. As an UNBIASED opinion, I came to watch this game expecting a total blowout with all of the hype about coldspring. My personal opinions of this game: 1) B.C came to play. They were not one bit intimidated of Coldspring. 2) The B.C defense played a heckuva game. Yes Coldspring pitched a shutout but B.C was ONE play away from having one of their own to a quote unquote unstoppable offense. 3) The cards had 4 turnovers opposed to coldsprings 0. You can't turn the ball over that many times in the playoffs especially to a team of coldsprings caliber. 4) As I said before I came to this game expecting to witness a total blowout because of all the "hype" of coldspring. Which all I witnessed was the "hype" being well, just "HYPE". Dont get me wrong Cs has a good team. They have many athletes on the field. Number 1 has some serious wheels, but tonight showed that when playing a decent team, they can be beat. The offensive juggernauts were held to only 7. Say what you want, but in my book coldspring looks very beatable.
 8. Saturday- Wos vs Cleveland at 1 then drive down the road to watch Bridge City and Coldspring!
 9.
Don't forget guys, the game has changed to 1pm not 6.
Awesome! Now I can drive 10 minutes up the highway to see what all this Coldspring talk is about.  ;D

Hopefully they can carry the momentum from the silsbee game into the first few drives of this game to get some early points on the board so that some of the younger players can get some pt. I'd honestly like to see the back up qb Rutledge get in the game. Defensively I think that the stangs will have more back ups in than the offense. Most of our injuries have been with the defense so this gives them a chance to heal up for the play offs.
Should be able to rest a few players.I would sure limit Lindsey's time. The way he runs he's prone to injuries. As for as the offense they still need all the snaps they can get imo.
I agree, we have enough backs to do the job. Hopefully the rest of the offense is still playing like they did the second half in Silsbee so we can rest more starters. An injury now would not be good at this point.
that's what I heard also......
I am not sure how far on the track you have to get tackled for it to be a penalty but a WOS player has his imprint on the track.  I guess he would have had to have been tackled in the concession stand to get a flag....of course it would it to be discussed at length.
I didn't know a defender wasn't allowed to make a play on the ball also. The pass interference call on wos was terrible he was CLEARLY turned looking to make a play on the ball. And what was up with the blocked field goal. First call it a touchdown then take it back. The rule is you can't advance a blocked kick if im not mistaken. Our player clearly caught the ball in the air off of a silsbee defender IN the endzone. No need to advance when you are already in the endzone. This list could go on and on. IMO the silsbee refs gave a better fight than the tigers.
 13. Not only did we win against a decent silsbee team we won against their refs too.
 14. What kills me is when he (the wos oc) will go from running the ball down peoples throats on first and second down for most of the game, then just switches to throwing bombs on first and second down winding up in third and long or an int.

As much as I hate to say it, if the wos offense can't find a way to get things going and score some points the tigers will hand them their second district loss since coming into 21-3a. You can't expect your special teams to score all your points. At some point wos opponents will get smart and stop kicking it deep. When that happens where will the points come from?
Yes it is a point of concern no doubt about it.I know we have had injuries but I for one have not seen a great deal of improvement that you would expect to see eight games into the season. Our defense and special teams keeps us in the games so you never can count us out.
I agree. It actually seems like the offense has been going down hill since the nederland game. Everyone is either blind or in denial when they say our offense will be fine. I have heard this for weeks now and it still seems as though they are not improving. They only produced 19 yds in the first half against b.c. That doesnt seem fine to me.

I just dont see the cats scoring on the wos D the way they have been playing.
When was the last time WOS shut Kirbyville out??? Ummmm never! Kirbyville is gonna move the ball trust me!
Im not basing my prediction on previous years. Ive seen the gameplay of both teams this year and I dont think the cats will score if the wos D shows up to play. And moving the ball and scoring is two very different things. Example being this past Wos Giddings game. We had over double the yards and first downs as the buffaloes but couldn't find a way to punch it in.

 19. The stangs had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and there is still no discipline...if they dont get it together the second half I can very well see them starting 0-3....the first quarter they did great with the quick type huddle. 2nd qtr it took them 20 seconds every down to get the play in. the coaching needs to get things together also.
 20. I can see that but at that point in the game we were moving the ball very well and the momentum seemed to be on our side. Just my opinion but I would've taken one more shot before I tried for a fg.
 21. It was 3rd and 5 in the first over time and wos lined up for a fg. The only reason I could think of they did it is because they wanted to keep the ball in the middle of the field and not have to kick from the left or right of the field. Bad call imo especially when you have a back like Lindsey on your team.
 22. First off, this was a HARD fought game by both teams. The first three quarters were pretty sloppy by both teams. Turnovers and penaltys are going to kill wos this year if they don't do a better job of playing more disciplined and holding onto the ball, especially when your inside your own 20 yard line. It seemed to me that there was no excitement from the wos players or coaches until the fourth quarter when the game became a nail biter. Our sideline is the quietest I have seen in a long time. I saw absolutely no coaches talking to any of the offensive players after a turnover until the start of the fourth quarter. No players motivating each other on the sidelines. Maybe it was just me but the first three quarters just seemed like nobody was really excited about playing tonight. You can't have that mentality if you expect to win games imo. Either way, was a very close game and both teams fought their hearts out. Good luck to FW. Wos will be fine. Lets take our 2 losses of the season early and learn from them!
 23. The officiating wasn't too great overall for both teams. There was one occasion where pass interference should have been called on wos. The other both the receiver and defender got tangled with each other and the refs made the right call. It was clearly accidental contact. As for the long pass from Nederland to the Wos 2 yard line, that was definately another missed call. After they showed the replay, the nederland receiver was CLEARLY 1 to 2 yards out of bounds and was on top of the wos defender, he never touched until he rolled over the defender 5 yards out of bounds. The 2 point conversion was close, it could have gone either way. Either way no excuses here and not taking anything away from the bulldogs. Both teams played a helluva game. A few different calls in the game and it could have ended differently but hey that's football. This game definitely benefited both teams tonight. Good luck to the dogs on the rest of yall's season yall should make some noise in 20-4a. As for the stangs we will be fine. The defense for the most part was the usual chain gang d. Silvers flying to the ball from every direction. The secondary could use a little bit of work but they should be fine as the season progresses. Offense still has a few kinks to work out but they looked more in sync from the previous scrimmages. Good game to both teams, and good luck to them too.
