It may or may not play a factor, but SC has lost 12 seconds on the clock due to penalties after snap that were "before snap infractions" and the clock was not reset each time. Something to watch.

Are Columbus and Yoakum both capable of defeating Hitchcock?

I was kind of wondering about how they would fair with the loss of a couple key players.

Didn't know that. Learning as I go perhaps. Was just hoping they weren't all in a bad car wreck or something. You never know with kiddos these days.

Forgive me if it's already been stated somewhere and I missed it, but what is the reason these players are out? Is it classified info? Were laws broken or is it simply grades?

That sounds like it may go something like PW Fairfield Crockett Teague PW plays Crocket this Friday. That may say a lot about where Crockett is at the moment.

I am not sure how to justify saying Hardin has a ceiling of 3rd round, if indeed the 3rd round game is against an opponent (Pal Westwood) that they were 3 minutes away from beating last year. So, it sounds to me like they have a ceiling of Reg Finals vs Franklin who I think we'd all agree, is the heavy favorite to win Region III and probably the state title. The interesting thing to me is, according to another post on a separate thread, I read where Hardin has only won ONE playoff game in school history. If that's true, this appears to be a season of firsts for that community. My wife taught there many years ago and I got to meet a lot of great people. I just wasn't able to drink the Hardin koolaid earlier in the season, with the history that says otherwise. I can honestly say now, I believe in the hype.

And I read where 0 has just as many yards and the same amount of Touchdowns as #10 has ?

Last year, District 9 finished as follows: 1. Westwood - lost to state champion Columbus in the second round 28-48 2. Diboll - eliminated by Franklin in the second round 14-31 3. Teague - eliminated by Hitchcock in the second round last year 14-56 4 Fairfield - lost to Yoakum in the second round 26-56 Obviously, we know that Hardin played Westwood and had the lead late in the 4th and pretty much the whole game, before Westwood pulled away in the last few minutes. These will probably be the same four teams, but not telling how 2-4 seeds will end up. Somebody a lot smarter than me may can shed some light into District 9.

I am not sure the result would have been the same in the Buna game. As one person mentioned on another thread, EC was missing a starting RB in that game? I feel as though Anahuac can score on East Chambers. Not enough to win, but certainly enough to keep it entertaining. Does anyone else think this way, or no?
