Yep, kids have been transferring schools for athletic purposes (with parent(s) approval) since 1863. Nothing to see here and should be allowed 100% of the time.
-
They are only present because of dollars. Thankfully, in the not so distance future, public school will be less and less relevant.
-
Wrong. Only the ones who can "afford" the move, which is a lot less common place. Every HS kid, via parents approval should be able to send their child to wherever/whenever they desire and not be penalized the slightest.

How many days away are we until the first scrimmage (Aug 13) ? Can't get here soon enough.
-
Has the transfer been approved by both AD's and ISD's ?

I thought he looked good at Barbers Hill and was the best fit for him.
-
Didn't the last QB lead the Barbers Hill Eagles to the 4th round? What program was he at prior?
-
See the above referenced comment. You went off track here wedge.

I remember Chavis Gregory from the 2012 squad. For some reason, I can't recall who McCollister is and year?
-
yes, that's our stance on the subject matter. I believe most would agree that Jones is capable of playing defense on multiple levels across the ncaa ranks. but, for some reason, unknown to anyone, he was left behind to do it on his own, from what i am told by a particular coach.
-
Chavis Gregory?
-
In this case, i was referring to the RB from OF and Jones.

I dont disagree with this statement. In the same breath, I can give you a list of "player" who received D1 offer and was not voted as the District MVP unanimously by every coach. Yet, the MVP will be sitting at home next fall and the "second place guy" is going to be suiting it up for a local D1. So, Yes, i completely understand your sentiment.
-
Colleges disagree with you, as best player on one side of the ball has already been offered by 3 colleges as a junior and Jones isn't playing college football next year. Lots of talent in the young man, but we both know what makes that offense go Now, who will fill the void of Jones? That's a great question?
-
Not sure why the coaching staff would indicate opposite. Very odd.

Yes, from what I have been told, Hardin lost a senior guard and gained a sophomore tackle, who moved back over from Liberty. It appears the line will once again be the engine behind this machine. Somebody on here said, they believe hardin takes a significant step back? I see it quite the opposite. I think they just got better.
-
Did the QB transfer as mentioned on another thread?
-
Congratulations to the young man from Hardin, Brennan Nunan who picked up an offer from Lamar University, I saw on social media. Coach Taylor is building something special over there in Hornet land.
-
That's what I was wondering. Has he enrolled into BH ISD ?
-
I thought Day just took the Coldspring job last year?

Tarkington is open/Jake Howard has been hired

And make no mistake, you're talking about a coach who had a team in year 3 (Hardin) that was a qb injury away from knocking out the eventual state champion Yoakum. I'd venture to say, he's a little above average as a coach. -

Looks like to me, if you add in his 12-1 record from this past season, he has a winning record as a coach. -
Oh he forgot about that game.
-
Oh, I wasn't referring to back ups, no-name johnny's and such. I meant, transfers that are an impact at one school, then go on to be an impact at another school. Those types of transfers, which are far more commonplace strictly occur due to "athletic purposes".

Has there ever been a transfer in the history of transferring that was NOT for athletic purposes?
