Glen Hill was the Offensive Coordinator. Hooks Defensive.

McCarty was brought to WOS from Lamar with Hooks to help the transition of merging Stark and West Orange. He did a fantastic job making a smooth transition for both schools. Remember they were hated rivals. In my opinion McCarty was more of a Public Relations expert than a coach but that was the most important job at the time. Without McCarty who knows what WOS might have become.

Coach T was head baseball coach and was linebacker/ defensive end coach at Stark. Bearden was the Jv football and Assistant baseball coach. JB's wife was the drill team director. The first graduating class of WOS was 1978. WOS Assistant coaches were names like Dan Hooks, Cornel Thompson. Robert Tywater, Wilbert Florence, Glen Hill and Ronnie Anderson.

What the heck is going on here? I thought the Liberty Panthers were State Ranked.

I saw a State Ranked Liberty owned drone flying and spying on WOS practice.

I think they will be in a huge trap Friday Night.

I want to personally invite you to Dan R. Hooks stadium next Friday. I sure hope Liberty is still State Ranked by then. It should be a classic game.

What happened to Panther2012? I sure miss his post.

Strong HAS TO GO! There are no more excuses, no more assistant coaches to blame, and no more we are just a play or two away. This game was one of the worst coaching jobs I have ever seen at UT. No desire, no hustle and the players had no idea what they were doing because the coaches have no idea. The defense is a complete joke. Hell, we still have Baylor, Tech and TCU, I cant imagine how many points they will score. He has no clue how to use time outs or how to use a clock. When you supposedly have one of the best linebackers in the nation sitting the bench because he has not been coached up and he sucks because of it, then it can only be the head coach- defensive coordinator. What really makes me sick is that K-State tried to give the game away and Strong found a way to loose in spite of the gift.

Same old song different year. I just cant believe that local people (Fans) don't learn from past history. Every year there is a team that boast that their team is going to knock off WOS. It has been Silsbee, B.C., H.J., Jasper, Nederland and now Liberty. The list goes on and on. The only recent one to do it and not run their mouths was Newton. Outstanding team and fan base similar to WOS. Final score: WOS- 49 Liberty- 0

Ok- SPORT TALK buddy. Hypothetically speaking, Do YOU THINK anyone cares about what YOU THINK? Get a life man, it's high school football. Really?

I have heard of this kid that plays for WOS named K.J. Miller. Is he any good or worth consideration?

If Texas is loosing this game at halftime, Strong better walk off the field, walk outside the stadium and hail a cab and go back home. Job will be over.

After listening to HJ on Sports Extra last night I am very worried for the Mustangs. These guys are scary. This would be an upset if WOS won.
