1. Griffin is the QB at Baylor and I think he is a Sophomore, but he also was injured last year and completely blew out his knee. Hard to come back from that.
 2.
I can't believe some of the off the wall predictions Im reading. After what Dayton did to WOS I would not get to carried away with my predictions. Nederland on the other hand had a good scrimmage against FB. I was told by a Nederland coach that they have much more depth this season than last. Especially on defense. I look for a good game. Nederland should win this.
I think that all real Mustang fans know this will be a close game. Even the last couple of years, even with the final score being lopsided, the games were close until late in the gameor second half.

 4.

I agree, that is about as bad a first outing as I have seen from WOS. Got a long way to go. Dayton looks very good for this early in the season.
But everyone knows Dayton does not play well early in the season, that is the only reason FW has been able to beat them, right guys?
I have no idea what you are talking about...
 5.
i doubt fw will be too concerned with the wos speed.  they face that  on a regular basis.  im so sick of  people talking about speed and fw not being prepared for it.  every year we hear the same garbage.  dayton is so fast, bmt central is so fast, nederland is so fast.  look at the results folks ots a football game not a track event.  i dont know about everyone else but i know fw puts football players on the field and good ones.im no sure why people think fw is slow, they have speed in the right positions just maybe not the wealth of it as some teams  once again they have football players that are very well coached and they flat execute better then pretty much everyone.  with that being said leave the track shoes at home it wont work to well for anyone.
You know, I've been reading all you FW folks posts and I was thinking the same thing... I wish I had a dime for every team that has come into a game talking about how they would outsize us and out depth us... It don't matter, we face that crap all the time. And regardless of what happened in our scrimmage against Dayton, unless you FW people have had your head stuck in the sand for the last 20 yrs (inlcuding one FW pounding back in 2000), you should know that predicting a 20+ point blowout is foolish. Dayton had the benefit of getting us in our first action against another team this year. You won't have that benefit. They also played 3 more games than we did last year which makes a difference. Just make sure you guys don't disappear after all these lofty predictions... Oh yeah, you guys have also made it abundantly clear that you are 6-0 against Dayton... Dayton has never beaten us in a real game either...
 6.
Didnt WOS schedule C.O. Wilson and some Beaumont school?  I heard there were some good 7 on 7 action between C.O. and WOS.  Hope that translates into a good game.  Does anyone know when and where they play?
Yes they do play each other this year and I am not sure yet where they play. They also played one another 3 times this year in 7 on 7 with WOS winning 2 of those, but all three were close and intense. I look for the real game to be that way as well.
 7. I agree, that is about as bad a first outing as I have seen from WOS. Got a long way to go. Dayton looks very good for this early in the season.
 8. Honestly, I have missed only a hand full of games since WOS became WOS. I remember I was in the 6th grade when the school started and we went to all of the games then with my buds, I didn't miss any in highschool my first 2 years then I was playing my second 2 yrs. I missed a couple of games while off at college, but I still drove home for most of them and caught all of the playoff games. Since I graduated from college I have not missed many.
 9. While I agree that this is the toughest district in the state. I do not think any of those teams will win it all this year.
 10.

not to bad for the first day. the coaching staff is watching them very close becouse of the heat. i was in shock with some of the size at west orange this year and dang you can tell thay have been working out with the iron. even after all was over with some of the kids still ran the stands, but this only the first day cant relly tell much yet.this was a little funny ,some of the coaches were sweeting more than the kids,THE MUSTANG MILE OMG  but all the kids gutted it out and were proud of themself after running it
How many showed up? Some one had said WOS would only have 30 kids?
I counted 35 in varsity jerseys last Friday. Somewhere around 30 is the usual number, though.
 11. Like a yearly case of the Flu... I knew this argument would surely surface again...
 12. I agree with 77. Nobody knows nuttin right now. It sure is fun to read the debate, though.
 13. WOS vs Dayton... No clue! I do know it will be a 4 qtr game scrimmage.
 14.
It would be nice to see them win another championship!
Indeed it would, sir! We have had championship caliber skill people over the last few years, but there has been something missing. I've felt our size up front has hurt us deep in the playoffs on a few occasions. I guess we will see if that was correct or not. Size should not be the issue this year, neither should depth on the line.
 15. Well, I for one am not making any lofty predictions. I have merely stated what I saw at the practice I went to last friday for the yearly 3 on 3. There is no doubt our lineman are bigger and there are more of them. Whether that will be what is needed to get us over the hump remains to be seen. But, it is definitely different than anything we have seen in recent years and it's got me excited about our chances.

Just ask WOS! ;D   Sorry Skip.....it just came out. I couldnt stop it.
Ummmmm... I think that was his point...
Ummmmm....no point was made....."yes are no".  Put a smile on Gasilla.....life is soooo much better.
p Ummmmm... I have a smile because I think it's funny you missed the whole point of his message. I'm not trying to say you are stupid or anything, but it's funny that you were so quick to say something about WOS that you missed that he was making that very point... and yes, he did make a point, "yes are no" was simply asking for agreement.  ;D see my big smile!!
Putting it in a manner that you may understand, he is trying to say that Coach Price is having the same impact at Hamshire-Fannett that Coach Crouch had last year at LC-M.
Nice!

Several big Sophomores and Juniors
Good to hear. WOS always has athletes but seldom have the size needed on the line. JMO
I agree.
Come on, you know what it means, why even ask.

 22. Went to watch the WOS 3 on 3 today for the first day of pads. The biggest thing I noticed is that we have WAY more size than usual. We have big kids and a bunch of them. Very unusual for us. I owe Skipper an apology, we actually ARE big this year.
 23.
I could be wrong but this might be the 1st year WOS in 3A isn't mentioned as a potential State Champion. With that said, you might see them make it back to championship game.
Admin, the potential is definitely there, but it has been there a couple of times since we dropped. Hopefully, they will put it all together.
 24. I'm not trying to ridicule him, it just seems like evey year it's "next year" is the year. Sooner or later it needs to become this year is the year.
