Rough day for the smaller schools it looks like, but kudos to those guys for getting some extra work in.

Lets get some basketball conversation started: Some Predictions for next year: 6A: No Local Teams 5A: Our local district, 19 I think will have at 2 teams at the regional tournament if they go split divisions. WB/United/BH/Memorial/Nederland will all be solid teams and one of those teams will be left at home: 4A: Silsbee will be good, but will take a small step back without Miller & Harris The rest of the district is a toss up, I would think BC/Vidor/LCM/WOS will be solid. I expect Lumberton & Jasper to be out of the mix again HF & Huffman duke it out for the championship with HJ & Fighting for 3rd & 4th. 3A: I think Kountze is the clear cut favorite with OF & EC splitting their games and having a tie breaker game for 2nd & 3rd Anahuac will probably take the 4 spot, the rest of this district is pretty rotten. 2A: I do not know much besides Evadale should be really good.

@Cu Chulainn I believe my sentence started with Ghost is a good player, come on man no need to get so worked up. I do think you miss the fact that people tend to poke at you a little bit with some of your outlandish takes and bizarre behavior.

While I think the Ghost is a good player, I believe the Wrinkle kid has more of a claim to the MVP based on the 3 games I saw the Bobcats play this year. The Sells Kid is more than deserving as well. Regardless I think the superlatives were correct in the district and I saw almost every team in the district at least once.

I am just glad that the MVP this year was on a team that qualified for the playoffs. Congrats to all of these young men especially the ones that play for the Green & Gold team.

I had the opportunity to attend this game last year, and i believe orangefield had the lead going into the 4th quarter. I think this will be a really good ball game!

Congrats to the Horns, we didint play good enough to win. This is a young team though, very excited for the future.

Orangefield threads on this board have become extremely entertaining. Good club, but the commentary is absolutely awesome.

This one really surprises me, I thought Crockett would have handled these guys with ease.

It looks like WOS was one of the more improved teams in the area this year, from one of the worst teams in the area to a playoff team is a pretty dramatic improvement.

Any updates on this? Our game against them could determine a playoff spot. I would hate for Coach Wilson to not be on the sidelines, he is as entertaining as they get.

Since when did we get a swim team? Its crazy we are thinking about moving basketball games because of a swim meet.

This district seems much more competitive than usual.

The Buna faithful have to be sick...... 2 30 point losses in back to back games to teams they are typically competitive with.

I am very proud of how the Bucs fought tonight, this team is young and scrappy.

Tough Loss, Anahuac has a good club. I think 3rd-5th in this district is wide open between: Buna, Anahuac, & EC.

Orangefield has been rolling for 2 or 3 years now, they do a good job over there across the board.

Was HJ missing some guys, or is HJ really this down?
